When was this?? I assume pre 1993 as this is when I got into football. Sounds incredibly dodgy and I agree with everyone's sentiments regarding Jimmy Hill. He is an odious buffoon whom I would gladly attack were it not for the fact his chin intimidates me

Incredibly petty. Don't know if you have been to the West Midlands, but it is a horrible place. Not much goes on so I guess they spout bile to keep themselves entertained.

 

Those of us that was at Everton that night won't EVER forgive Coventry and Hill..they should have been docked points for a what Hill did. From what we understand as soon as the anouncement was made, the ball didn't leave the halfway line. I am with Cest on this one...hope these arsewipes get relegated to the conference

Coventry? Didn't they play Football once upon a time?

 

They will go bust, the people who own the club don't have a clue what they are doing and Cov council are raking the money in from the stadium on the corperate and concert side leaving the football club with nothing.

I run a small business and if I make stupid decisions I go bust simple as, it should be just the same for football clubs.

I had the misfortune of going to the Ricoh last year with a mate who is a Cov fan. All I wanted was a cup of tea on a freezing cold night. You can't buy a cup of tea you have to queue up to buy some tokens first which you can then exchange for food and drink. So instead of them employing 1 person to pour the tea/beer and take you money they employ a person to sell you a token then a person to get you your drink, its no wonder they have got no money. I could not be arsed with the hassle in the end and went to Mcdonalds for a cuppa to warm up after the game.

I know you're close to Cest, but let him fight his own battles. He doesn't seem concerned - and why should he be? I'm sure he recognises I'm not having a 'pop' at him. It's plain if you read my first post. I'm stating that hatred carried over 35 years (!!) is not healthy, that's all. My Dad was at the Coventry Bristol City game that day as he couldn't get to the sunderland game. Said he was going mad when they started passing to eachother, flicking ball up and catching it on the back of their necks etc. ha!

 

I just think it would be lovely if Coventry played Bristol City last game of this season, winner staying up.

I remember the last 15 minutes at goodison as they seemed to last forever and the fans just waiting. I hope they go out of business and never surface again as i have waited 30 odd years to finally get rid of the bastards, but apart from that i dont mind them really.
