My list of summer transfer targets (off the top of my head - we don't have to buy all!) -

    Midfielders
    Javi Martinez
    Yann M'vila (Confirmed as available)

    Wingers
Hoilett (Contract over in the summer?)
    Adam Johnson
    Munian

    Strikers
    Daniel Sturridge
    Fernando Llorente
    Edison Cavani
    Luk de Jong
    .. Lavezzi

But if I'm honest I can't see us actually going for any of those listed (Bar de Jong)

Something tells me we already have Hoilett in the bag, there were rumours we were in talks with him in Jan.Plus Hansen waxing lyrical about him on MOTD last week made me think Kenny may have let slip to Jocky some of our summer transfer plans

The one I want is Lucas Moura, Leandro Damiao would be nice too

    1. no way would kenny tell hanson very much at all.

    2. blackburn will be relegated and to be honest while theres a lot of reasons for that yet again we are building relegated players... the histroy is not good... just look at who we bought from relegated sides...

    3. strikers are all good players, the thing is we need one and then we need better wingers...

Honestly guys i rather comolli go buy some relative unknowns and lets see how they do and heopfully get ONE forward whos top quality. I'd rather have a few bales, modric ekotto types than one big expensive defensive midifleder for example. This is a three year process. this is year one, we've a squad thats capabel again of playing in cups, bt we've zero cutting edge. year two i hope will bring in some quality and improve us and year 3 is where the real action should start.

    league cup win.
FA cup semi (could win it?)

3 more cups to be played for next year.....

a league title standard to get to the following year.

    Simple.... if theres patience.

  7. Personally, I think Kenny would talk to Hansen. They are best mates and they both openly admit to talking about these things. However, I don't think either would let the cat out of the bag after being told something by the other. Hansen knew about Kenny resigning the first time round well before anyone else did, he didn't let slip then did he?

I don't think Blackburn will be relegated. They have been playing well and just lacked a bit of look. They have had some better results recently and have the fire power to get them out of trouble. QPR have the strikers to do the same. My money is on Wolves, Bolton and Wigan to go down.

I agree but Kuyt and Bellamy are getting older, Carroll needs competition and Suarez speaks for him self. We need a poacher too IMO.

Generally agree with you here. It is a long process which we should take our time over. But next year the minimum target should be top four. We have shown this season that we are capable of playing fantastic football against anyone, we just need to put the ball in the net more.

Not sure if that'll always matter.

As it stands, players may move for reasons other than immediate Champion's League football - to play in a new or better league, be part of a growth or rebuilding process, money, prestige, attraction of cup successes etc.

The big question regarding a new striker is whether we want one to replace Carroll in the starting team. I'm a huge fan of Llorente and Cavani - I'd take them any day. But - what would happen to big Andy if we sign an identical but improved version of him? Should we go for a small, quick striker instead? If we bought a finisher ala Huntelaar or Higuian (the perfect out and out striker) we could drop Suarez back into the hole or onto one of the wings - where he is effective cutting in. Carroll could then play.

Regardless, we need two top class wingers to see our side improve significantly. We need pace, audacity and real ability - Lavezzi could be the answer, as could be Munian, Johnson, Pablo Hernandez.

Would love Martinez and Munian but honestly, we're never gonna fork out that amount of money this summer

    Don't crush my hopes JJ!

I am still of the opinion we will go for Banega though. He has been a target of ours for awhile. Also with marin I think we could get him for a reasonable price and he can provide more creatvity for us as well.

I could see us signing Muniain, Martinez will be A LOT more difficult, M'Vila may be more likely

We defo need 1CM , 1 Winger, 1 striker + at least 1 under 21 attackin player ( perhaps Redmond, Zaha etc )

Apparantly Giuseppe Rossi will be available for around 15mill this summer given Villareal's financial difficulties. Also believed that we've scouted him but the interest is dependent on his current injury and recovery. Could be worth a punt.

Suarez is literally doing all the work of our attack. He'd be insane with a few quality players around him

  17. But other clubs such as Tottenham and Man Utd are reportedly interested in him too. As much as i don't like it, he won't join us if their name is on the table.

Yet when Roy was on form worse than this it was OK to sing Kenny's name.
