Why is it that the media give our club no credit for good results??We have just had a good game at Everton, and given the home-team a problem or two, been competitive, and could have won.All I am reading on Sky etc.,is that we were lucky not to lose, lucky not to concede two penalties etc. When will we be given some credit ?We are a good side, that competes 100% in every game, and, yet, are given no credit by the press. What will they say when we turn up at Wembley for the semi's ???

    We don't.

But we rightly think we are in a great position now.

I was away for the Boro game at home but watched it on the telly - they were highlighting some tackles made by our players and that clown was saying "if he mistimes that he's off etc" when Boro were tackling similarly and misstiming some of them he said f all - he is definitely a cock end not a towns end

Notice how we "could have" conceded 2 penalties but during the game nothing was said but tit end about Fellaini and his foul on Campbell in the build up to the goal.

Also nothing said about Neville hounding the ref to book bendtner. 3 foul. Fellaini committed 4 or 5 as did Drenthe but no one was saying anything to the ref asking for them to be booked.

what about the o'shea "handball"?? sorry, he jumped and the ball was headed into his arm from point blank range... townsend was giving it "ooh, he's been very clever there.." southgate was the only one who stuck up for him, saying a penalty would have been harsh... such a load of bollocks.

but in response to the op, no, never, even if we won the champion's league three years running. something else would have made it happen...

You should start reading your own forums mate.
Before today Most Toffees already had London hotels booked.
You might be able to cancel or better still, sell them on to Mackem's.

    Ha ha.

I'm laughing cos I know a few lads who have reserved London hotels for semi-final weekend, just in case.

I will not disclose if I am part of the group, but I will say Hilton Covent Garden have some wonderfully competitive rates, considering the on-site facilities and access to bars etc.

    Ahem.

I do and nobody had booked anything. We learned our lesson after the Reading match last year.

I didn't say it was me!

Although I will say, that the fact that no deposit is required on many Hilton rooms makes it easy to reserve and confirm as and when required, rather than run the risk of scrambling for a room at a later date.....

Everton had 19 shots on target to your 5
9 shots off target to your 2
And 55% possession to your 45%

That would lead anyone to believe that you were on the back foot and perhaps lucky not to concede.

Financial credit is only given to those with a good credit history already.

It's no different in football. Our football credit rating is based on 39 years without any trophy, more relegations than I case to remember and only 3 top 10 place finishes, in the top flight, in 55 years.

Only when we actually start to perform on the pitch, year on year, and win a major trophy, will we start to gain respect and credit.

Ellis Short eluded to this point last week in his interview. We have gained some credibility with the arrival of Mon but even this season up to December, every EPL team would have fancied their chances at the SOL.

We all know that things have changed because we live with it every day. The rest of the country will need to be convinced still. That's why this FA Cup run has even more importance for us now. Mon has been here with other less fashionable clubs and knows that the first trophy is crucial to changing that clubs status.

I'm not saying we will win it but I'm absolutely convinced that 100% of his focus will now be on trying to. Our EPL status is no longer under threat. Our chance to win the FA cup is now 1 in 8.

Win it and our clubs future amongst the elite will be assured.
