Elsewhere I wonder if Consigliere is a Pipe job with the 10lb claimer and when you consider he's been chasing all year (to protect his hurdle mark perhaps). i think that one is 33/1. I also think the bumper winner will come from the newbury bumper, ie will be Village Vic or Horatio Hornblower.

Did my dough Dex unfortunately - had a nice win on Sprinter Sacre but got greedy - lumped on the Fly and tote place Binocular and that just wiped me out. Luckily I was disciplined enough to not take too much cash to the races (and left my cash card at home) so damage was limited. Great day though, plenty of Guiness <ok>

But were you on him Oddy?

Funny day yesterday. Two massive favourites go in.Pricewise hits the 25/1 jackpot, Balthazar lands a big gamble. Huntball lands a big gamble.

Yet all it took was Hurricane Fly to lose and the bookies have had a winning day. Unbelievable. I know it cost me a packet.

Quel having seen him in the parade ring I don't know how anyone couldn't back Sprinter Sacre - he really is an absolute beast, beautiful looking chaser <ok>

Good start for Favourite backers and a gamble landed, hopefully the bookies will suffer the wrath of the punters today and the favourites will wipe them out.

Well done to anyone on the winner Teaforthree won that well and always seemed to be in control and plenty left in the tank.

John Francome thinks Tenor Nivernais will run a big race in the Coral Cup, worth backing each-way at 25/1.

Sprinter Sacre ought to beat Sizing Europe in next year's Queen Mother Stone, as Sizing Europe will be 11 then.

    Cheers London.

Sizing will be 11 next year won't he. I suppose he has to win this years race first but you'd expect improvement from Sacre and a slight decline from Sizing.

He should win if he turns up but to take 6/4 ante post a year in advance is either incredibly brave or incredibly stupid*. Anything can happen between now and then.

*apologies to all who have backed him already at those prices. Consider yourselves thought of as incredibly brave.....

Ha. I couldn't take that price yet. He might become a pseudo savings account though by Christmas.
