    Hello lads.

My nap Batonnier is a non runner so back to the drawing board.

Cracking card again and it revolves around SE and GC for the big singles and doubles...will the bookies get them, even one of them, beaten and go two up v the punters?

I'm backing LR again today and he is my only strong fancy for the rest of the week.

    GL all.

    Morning All

Manage to end yesterday with a decent profit thanks to Balthazar King & Hunt Ball, today looks tricky especially with 3 fancied favourites in Simonsig, Grands Crus & Sizing Europe, one is bound to get done but just in case have had a feq quid on the treble. Aside from that just a yankee and singles for me :

1.30 Universal Soldier - with 4 places on offer really think this is a decent each way shout @ 14/1
4.00 Balgarry - Think this one has a great chance and might have got in lightly by the handicapper.
4.40 Vendor - Same as above really and also Alan King has been quite keen on the chances of this one.
5.15 New Years Eve - Tricky Race to try and pick the winner but different articles that I have read today this one keeps getting a good write up.

    Best of luck to everyone

    Cheers Trevez

"2.40 The RSA is all about GRAND CRUS and Bobs Worth. Pipe’s horse has for me by far the best profile and he is a confident selection"

Stick: I am not at all sure you're right there. First Lieutenant has a very real chance in this. Good form, ground conditions perfect, likes a trip, good jockey, will be disappointed if does not run a big race. One for Ireland here?

the RSA is similar to the Arkle yesterday - 3 or 4 very good chances, 1 potential star and like Sprinter Sacre yesterday I hope Grands Crus goes on and wins it

Good morning chaps... First of all i would just like to say how good was Sprinter Sacre... Just watched the race again and its just simply a great round of jumping and the potential of the horse is there for all to see... But also a sad note with the 3 horses who fell and passed away from us... A real shame...

Back to today and some good races coming up but tricky ones all the same...

1.30 - Allee Garde - though im not full of confidence. its only as ive got a antepost on him...

2.05 - Simonsig or Monksland - Agian ive got both in the antepost market so either to win...

2.40 - Grand Crus - Cant see him being beat, but closer than we would think in the end...

3.20 - Sizing Europe - Say no more... Winner...!!!

4.00 - Poole Master and Cape Dutch

4.40 - Vendor or Royal Bonsai

5.15 - New Years Eve, Horatio Hornblower or The New One

Good luck to all again today...<cheers>

Afternoon all. Main bet today for me is Bobs worth who i have had backed since January both as a single and in a patent with Cinders and Ashes (yes it;'s on the ante post "darts" thread before anyone says anything ;-)

Also had a small patent on Simonsig, Sizing and tea for three and have New year's Eve in the bumper.

    Good luck everybody

afternnon all-hoping for a better day today-three main bets are

1.30 Alle garde-Will love the ground but concern is mullins yard not fire on all cylinders but hoping this will go close
4.40 Vendor-Mian bet of the day and if it goes in it will banish yesterday's painfull memories-Chock thortens nap of the week and King has been bullish about this one all week
5.15-Ah the bumper, someone get me a dart!-Anyway i've gone e/w village vic based on his run against shutthefrontdoor which i think was the strongest of any prep race and the yard is in form so should go close!

Anyone have a any fancies in the coral!!I cant decide etween GMOOH and Bilgarry!

We should have a bonus competition for Cheltenham:

Which horse today will John francome say reminds him of Pendle? Seriously - does he not know any other decent 2 mile chasers?

Afternoon all <ok> Tricky Day 2!

    2.05: MONKSLAND 9/2 (NAP)

I fancied this horse before the defections of Fingal Bay and Boston Bob, and I think he will really appreciate the good ground. Should be able to travel nicely into the race and I think he will find more than Simonsig off the bridle, provided he travels into the race as well as Hendersons hotpot.

    3.20: REALT DUBH (33/1 e.w A.P)

Backed this horse on the exchanges last week when the trainer said this was his likely destination, and took a nice price. A really strong traveller, stays 2 and a half miles, and showed glimpses of real class last season. Massive ask on his return against a fantastic champion, but if he jumps well I think he'll run a massive race. Paul Carberry apparantly very happy with him at home.

Will be back with the later race selections shortly!

Tell you what Quel I've never seen payout queues like it yesterday after Sprinter Sacre and Quevega won - unbelieveable. If the Fly had won the bookies would have run out of money. They must have taken a massive hit on Balthazar King too, seemed like half the course was on him.

    my comp entries were

    Four Commanders
    Simonsig
    Join Together
    Sizing Europe
    Consigliere
    Dark and Dangerous
    Village Vic

if i have half the amount of winners i had yesterday i'll be delighted

I like Four Commanders here, no bet, but I think 10/1 is fair.
