Think I over reacted a tad at Danny simpson last night. Very raw after that loss. Our midfield should have done more to cover him.

Players looked out on their feet, because they worked their asses off. But just one more minute and the jobs done. Just frustrating as f*ck.

Still madness from Simmo tho. If he was up their trying to win the game then fine, but to just time waste?! Illogical.

Was frustrating game to lose always is when you lose that late, but we know have a good run of games coming up and we have to take advantage, like we should have done against at least one of Wolves and Sunderland at home.

I feel we need to get back to basics and do what we were doing earlier in the season which was get the ball into Ba's and Bests and now cissé's feet. We've been playing the long ball way too much lately, and when we've been passing it its been overelaborate, one touch nonsense, it worked yesterday for Ben Arfa's goal but against the Mackems our offence was pishpoor. everyone was trying to score goals instead just try to find a strker in the box and take it from there. Ba has ability to score from in and outside of the box but all he seems to be getting lately is headers and hopeful flicks. I don't if this is down to Cabayes form and the odd injuries and bans to midfielders but we haven't quite been the same since Tiote left for the afcon and Besty got injured. Yesterday we missed Bests running. Obertan didn't do too badly imo offensively but he never got beyond ba running into space or channels, making space for Ba, he's not a striker. If we play like that I'd rather have Ben Arfa in a free role up top. in and around Ba. Also our indirect set pieces have been poor this year. corner delivery total pants, whoevers been taking them. It feels like ages since Ba scored from that corner against Blackburn or whoever it was. No point having Jonas and HBA winning free kicks if we can never put a decent ball into the area. Anyway...really a must win against Norwich on Sunday if we want to make anything out of the season. If we can't beat norwich I think Everton will probably finish above us on the last day of the season.

Lack of experience is definetly costing us at times this season. Thats the number one problem with our unshakable transfer policy.

If we had a couple more experienced heads we would have seen that out, i'm positive about that.

Oh **** off man he has cleared at least 10 goalas form the goal line this season

A cynic might say that if he was in his correct position prior to those moments he could cut the danger out long before it reaches our goal line.

Getting on the players backs isn't going to fill them with confidence and help them to play well, as fans we're supposed to get behind them and cheer them on.

Bit tough to when he was injured attacking just before hand. Bloody Webb knew he was injured too.

No, I agree on that one and I've said so on the first page. Disagree about Webb though, and certainly don't blame Arsenal for playing on, more blame our players for putting it out for Koscielny. No top club would ever put the ball out for a centre half with a leg injury when you're already past him.

My post was in response to Tiotes '10 goal line clearances' comment. Happy for ones like last night where he's correctly on his post to block from a corner, but the ones where he's doing his 'hide behind the centre half' trick and his winger delivers unchallenged? Thats not good defending, its blind luck.

You say that as if the players read this forum.

This place is to get out your frustration....I'd never start shouting and screaming at the players in the street.

Also, if Danny Simpson was injured and we couldn't bring him off....then that makes being up the pitch and physically being unable to get back even worse!!!
No?!

We are going to win the next two games and then we'll see this game doesn't matter all that much. Did we really think we would be where we are at the start of this season ????/

No?!

I wasn't addressing the players, I was speaking as a fan to fans.

Anyway, I have heard that some players do indeed read this forum.

I'd be surprised if no players read the forums.

I know they're important and rich and we're poor and insignificant, but if you knew that a bunch of people were talking about you all the time, wouldn't you be curious ?

They wouldn't pick this one. It's dead.

I think it is safe to say Danny Simpson divides ours fans! Long term I see Santon moving into his natural position anyway, but I'm happy with Danny in the short term and he's had a very good season. To suggest he was poor the other night is comical in my eyes. He had a very good game bar two moments, unfortunately one started a sequence of events that cost us. But lets not excuse the other 10 just because Simpson is the fans scapegoat. It was the same with Raylor earlier on in the season.
