Italy were well on top until that charge down and try. Can England up their game against stiffer opposition having had two matches against easier teams in which to gel this new squad.

Home advantage tends to count for a lot in the Six Nations. England have two home games to potentially win the triple crown, and unless France do the Grand Slam doing that would put them in with a shout. I fancy Wales though.

Ireland beating Scotland but the Scots didn't help themselves with some laughable defending!

Wales in an ok victory over Italy. I really expected 40 points for Wales.

So, Wales will most likely win the Grand Slam now and Ireland/England are fighting for 2nd position. England have the home advantage but it will be a close game.

Who will take the wooden spoon though? I would like to see Italy win but I think Scotland will win and thoroughly deserve not to come last.

I don't really care now. Would be great to beat the Irish as lots of them have been getting a bit cocky about England but after our team who apparently is the worst in living memory did a job against the french I would be happy for the season to end now.

The one thing that's pissing me off at the moment is the hate brigade for Ashton. He got us our first try with a superb tackle! He made one little error which cost us 3 points and everyone has gone for the jugguler.

sorry guys... just bumping the thread above the numpty spammer

Well played England by the way. Brave choices made by Lancaster and he should be made the man.

This summers tours will tell us a lot more about the Home Nation sides.
