A B&W Place.
6. Newcastle 27 44
7. Liverpool 27 39
8. Sunderland 28 37

Five points ahead of the 'dippers with the same games played.
Seven points ahead of Sunderland and a game in hand.

Can't get too carried away but it's looking quite bright.

A win against Arsenal would take us to just two points behind them and Chelsea too.

The Mackems getting too close for comfort now, they've done really well! I've already chalked the Arsenal game off because I think we'll get hammered but at least we'll still be ahead of both of them two no matter what Liverpool do next game. We need to start getting our **** together because we've got a great opportunity for an even better finish with Chelsea struggling as well, I've not been impressed with our recent performances though, can't think the last time we played well for 90 minutes.

Got a feeling we'll get something out of Arsenal myself. Going down for the game so very much hoping it's not going to be like some of our latest visits to London.

It's Everton I'm worried about. If they beat the bin dippers (which is looking more and more likely), they leap frog them. Everton usually do very well this half of the season. The game at goodison (which is the last game of the season) could be very interesting this season

The run in could be worse.

Arsenal (a)
Norwich (h)
WBA (a)
Liverpool (h)
Swansea (a)
Bolton (h)
Chelsea (a)
Stoke (h)
Wigan (a)
Man C (h)
Everton (a)

Arsenal game is biggest of the season. Win we are right in the mix for 4th and make 5th more realistic.

Draw, still in a shout with 5th.

Lose, 4th will be definetly gone.

Get hammered, wont do our confidence any good for 5th whatsoever. Couldn't see us finishing above Chelsea.

Our whole season (if we dont win) is totally relying on Spurs/Liverpool/Chelsea winning their home games in FA Cup, then one of em knocking out Everton/Sunderland in Semi's at Wembley....that leaves me with a uncomfortable sense of hopelessness.

We will probably finish 6th this season and not get into Europe.....I bet Mackems would love to be that team to spoil it and snatch the place from us.

They're not likely to do us any favours.

We will get beat off Arsenal and we need to just make sure we beat the so called lesser teams. Forget Europe and concentrate on just winning games , that will look after itself.
