Evening all,
I would like to hold my hand up, and take responsibility for the result today. I usually try to schedule my Saturday afternoons so I can sit on the sofa, laptop on lap (where else?!), watching Football Focus and refreshing the 606 page. I boast a 100% success rate when I have done this, and have never witnessed Watford lose. Unfortunately today, I could not partake in my desired series of events due to a "Marriage Preparation" course at Holy Rood (why did I have to agree to marry a Catholic girl?!). I instead spent 8 hours (EIGHT) sat in a church hall "learning how to have the perfect relationship".
But, does anyone else feel almost happy by the defeat? Just because it was Andrew Taylor who scored the winning goal?
wear_yellow - I agree entirely. It does my head in that we stick our noses into everyone elses business. I think it is good that we offer support to other less-able countries, but certainly feel we "support" a bit too much. It is like the US is the Headmaster, UK are the Deputy-head, and the likes of Libya, Bahrain etc. are the naughty kids who never get to finish their GCSE's.
Supergeo - I forgot to reply to one of your posts and can't remember which thread it was! Anyway, don't go for Towers!!! It's a tip!! Imagine living on the 15th floor and then someone setting off the fire alarm (pretty much every night)? Imagine living on the 15th floor and having a 9am lecture? It is bad enough attempting to get up for a 4pm lecture, let alone waking up to the prospect of traipsing down 4,500 steps, only to have to traipse back up them an hour later.
