The Hornet's Nest

Just had one of those "that's what makes life so good" monments. As part of her Uni course, little Miss W_Y needs to get work placements to get industry experience and has applied to a very well known sport TV channel, they requested that she sends some detail of her experience and knowledge of sports and she has written a page and sent it to me for a check....this is one of the paragraphs:-

"Cardiff on 21st May 2006 was the most memorable day of my life. I remember the build up – the nervous excitement, butterflies raging in my stomach. I remember driving down the M4 passing cars and coaches fully clad in Watford yellow. The anticipation and tension was huge, adrenaline bursting through my veins. I remember walking up the steps to be greeted with the sight of the perfect green pitch, the separation of yellow and white in the vast stands. It was overwhelming. As for the game itself, it was the quickest 90 minutes of my life. All I remember about it was jumping around with 26,000 Watford fans in unity and, most importantly, with my Dad. The jubilation, the relief, the outpouring of emotion is something I’ll never forget. To this day, it still doesn’t feel real. And that is why I love football"

Now, not many things come better than that....

Leon did you use your magic power and make the Nest sticky? I have some warm soap water if it was not you.

Before you start open your file and then save it with a new name, for example Hornets and save as Hornets2, just so you do not lose the base information. Easy to say but I have messed lots of times because I forgot that.

To resize a photo by cms/pixels the easy way is open in paintbox and use the image command on the top row and then attributes Photoshop is just as easy. If you want to resize by bytes you will need an optimising tool. I have NetGraphics

 

There will not be Kýpur - Ísland match thread. As I will not be doing one MBL.is will have an update like BBC and ESPN do. The game is saturday 26 mars at 18:00klst in Kýpur.

 

Whenever I try that, all I manage to do is cut half the photo off! Don't know what I'm doing wrong

I have managed to reduce them in size after inserting them into a word doc - but that's not really useful as I haven't worked out how to actually save the new size

 

Kýpur? Where is that?
