Welcome to the Nest OH. I would have made and answer more early but I am tired and am only catching up slowly. How have you managed 75 points so fast. I did not get that many so quicly and I even wrote an article.

I do not understand a and an we do not have them. Everything is put at the end of a word. Like this for

    hestur or horse

nominative singular hestur (a horse in a field)
accusative singular hest (I see a horse)
    genetive singular hesti (my horse)
    dative singular hests (horse's hay)
nominative plural hestar (horses in a field)
accusative plural hesta (horses are mine)
    genetive plural hestu (my horses)
    dative plural hesta (horses' hay)

    hesturinn or the horse

nominative singular hesturinn (the horse in a field)
accusative singular hestinn (I see the horse)
genetive singular hestinum (the horse is mine)
dative singular hestsins (the horse's hay)
nominative plural hestarnir (the horses in a field)
accusative plural hestana (I see the horses)
genetive plural hestunum (the horses are mine)
dative plural hestanna (the horses' hay)

The Hornets Nest could be hreiður geituganna (nest of the hornets') or hreiðurinn geitunga (the nest of hornets) and the first example is better.

Blimey ak - 16 words for horse! How many for snow?

Come to think of it, is it the eskimos who have 64 for snow?

Seeing as it's a balmy 1 degree C here, a nice View attachment 1388 would be appreciated!

Geo - I use photoshop to resize photos for when I am sending them via e-mail - I built a little macro on it (and opothers here will testify I am not the PC whizzkid of the site) so one press of a button reduces the size. ( I use Photoshop CS2 but Photoshop Elemens would do it too I think and I bought a copy of that for only about £15 on the net

Welcome Oxford - and thanks for your comment - I took Norway's drink and curled up and confess I spent the evening watching Comic relief - not one I ususally do but I have had a rotten cold all week and had no energy to do anything else - so I did not get back on last night

    Morning all

Recovering from a brief attack of lurgy so hope the coffee goes down OK:emoticon-0120-doh:

A beautiful morning down here...sun, blue sky etc. It looks like a day with newspaper, laptop, TV and abstinence from alcohol.
