The Arsenal system always gives one player the chance to shine. Now its Van Persie, before Fabregas and before him Henry. We always have one player that is a star. If you look at Van Persie now you will look at a player that looks stronger and you can see that in the way he holds people off in the box. He has not missed a single league game I think. Also, after Tuesday, we only have the League. So Robin can have his rest in between league games.
West Brom 1 - 0 Chelsea. Turning out to be a decent day. But, then this result might mean AVB getting sacked. Not what we need.
Yes, but in the past you always had other players. Right now, as far as I can see, you've got RVP and well, that's it!!
Yes. Very, very, unusual, as I'm sure you know. Oh, who scored your goals today, by he way? No's 30 & 31 of the season, I believe. Where do you think you'd be now without those?
We have Song. Good all round midfielder. Arteta does a solid job in the league, Sagna was in the PFA team of the year last season and is slowly returning to his best after a serious injury. Koscielny has been excellent this season. Walcott as bad as he is sometimes has made and scored goals. Chensey is a young but excellent keeper who does not make many mistakes. I think our first team is good, nowhere near the quality of City. Also our team can't match United and also their manager is on another level to Arsene. We are in the Top 4 now and have a three point lead over Chelsea. We are a good team.
Thinking about it, though, who would replace him for the rest of the season? Given their presumed go-to Hiddink is contracted at Anzhi Makhachkala, they might have to re-hire Avram Grant...
Fact is, your defence still leaks like a sieve, and if RVP wasn't around, who would score the goals?.. chamakh?
And if you did not have Modric, who will run your midfield? Van Persie is an unreal player but too many people make out it like he is doing everything. He was on the end of two stunning passes from Sagna and Song today. We know that we rely on Van Persie too much for goals because we lack goals from midfield without Fabregas and Nasri so the reports about us going for Podolski are encouraging for next season but for now it has to be Van Persie. And like I said before we only have the league matches left barring a miracle against Milan. So hopefully he will not burn out.
Modric is undoubtedly important to us. But, no way are we as totally reliant on one player, as you currently are. He has scored more than half of all the goals you've scored this season. You can have all the midfield players you like, but at the end of it, somebody has to be relied on to put the ball in the back of the net. Otherwise it all counts for nothing. If RVP was playing for us, we would now be challenging for the title, I've absolutely no doubt about that. There's the difference!!
