Well the bike above was my dad's. He died 12 years ago and I'm finally putting the old girl back together (I've found all the replacement parts I need on e-bay). She's getting a professional respray and re-chrome, never to be sold just passed down the generations. She's a 1962 Brilliant model, and was "mended" when my parents didn't have much cash. I'm looking forward to riding her again by the end of May.

I guess it's a "Straight" Hetchins? They're both brilliant. Mine was Campag throughout. Now I've a Raleigh 24" (not 531) and am putting it together with bits and pieces scrounged from these old cyclists I know...

Cheers. I am very lucky. Yes she is a straight Hetchins.

She's got Weinmann brake levers, GB Coureur 66 centre pull brakes, Campag Gran Sport front and rear deraileurs, Milremo handlebars....

When she's back in pristine condition I'll post some pics.

It's all made by Indian children really (if we're talking about the sort of things you would find in sports direct). Don't know about £200 football boots professional players use. Companies with more money can spend more on researching what actually improves performance. Adidas = my personal favourite, don't mind Nike/Puma

This is one of four pics I found of a Raleigh "Weekender". Mine's same (standard) colour, but won't be fixed wheel. It'll be a bit of a mongrel, made of cannibalised bits of kit - gears, brakes, chainset and wheels.

The Hull KR kit I have is made by KooGa and it's top notch quality & finish..

The Patrick shirt I have circa 2001/2? is nice too.. (HUll City)

Adidas shirt this season is a bit flimsy and Umbro's was better..
