Christ sake, how can you stick up for folan? Yes he was good in the promo season (3 BLOODY YEARS AGO!!) but since then he's had what, 2 good games? And has been injured and hasn't played very well. Why cant you accept that he's one of these players that are earning far more than they're actually worth? I for one am glad he's off the wage bill.

He cost us £5m, not including whatever pay off he's just received, his performances don't justify that cost, so I'm glad to see the back of him.

And he was sleeping with Stuart Green, allegedly.

    And Campbell.........

At least Folan and even Macca hustled and played hard unlike Jimmy B.

Hustled???? Folan couldn't hustle his way out of a wet paper bag. The MLS must be really poor signing **** like Folan...even the Red Bulls might besigning Rooneys younger brother....who was at the galactico Macclesfield Town...

Thierry Henry at the end of his career supported by 4th division Rooney junior!!! The MLS is where poor/retiring footballers go.

I'd take him. He can finish a ball and he's still quickish. Which is pretty much all of our strikers put together ;)

Tigga, you're properly full to the brim of bullshit when it comes to Folan. If you've ever seen him play you'll have noticed that he is over 6ft and yet can't win a header, he isn't interested in winning the ball one bit, he just wants the defence to move aside while he trots like a lame pony into an empty net. Can you honestly say you've ever seen anything from Folan that makes you think he has the slightest bit of desire to play for our club?

Why the abuse?....have I offended you?...apart from being the only forward we have had in the last 4 years who could put his foot in (and head) and tackle I have only to mention his first and last games for Hull City at Blackpool(A) and Barnsley(A) to give examples of his commitment which never wavered...did you not go to either of those games?

Don't see any abuse there, he's entitled to say you're full of ****, that Barnsley game he didn't know where he was so thats no ringing endorsement of his abilities. Bet you think Paul Mcshane is a worldbeater too!

That Barnsley game especially. I obviously wasn't there but the highlights were fantastic. He was playing on one leg for the final third after Barnsley's keeper wrecked his leg and was still winning balls. Who wouldn't want that kind of commitment?

American Plastic _ I was afan of Caleb Folan but turned out to be a poor investment for a £1m outlay.

Was at the Barnsley game and must say he seemed a bit of a Wus TBH after the challenge from their keeper - Good luck to the lad anyway.

Of all the things to suggest in support of Folan, his ability to tackle or head a ball seem the strangest, I've been at almost every game he's ever played in for us and I saw him do little of either in the vast majority of those games.

There's a great video of him on here, apparently, playing in the MLS has always been a dream of his, he likes to travel and wants to save the worlds starving children and he's got a ****ing stupid neck tattoo.
