I don't know if anyone has checked out the original 606, but I stumbled across an article by a Leicester fan entitled 'Diomansy Kamara', discussing their potential 'new star signing'. Several of them have not only resorted to slagging off Kamara for not being a big enough signing, but are also mocking Yakubu - who has scored 4 goals in 7 games - for playing poorly. The names they are positing as being most likely are Michael Owen, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Marouane Chamakh, Owen Hargreaves, Richard Dunne and Joe Cole. Is it just me, or are some of them getting a bit above their station?
They are, thankfully it's just the younger ******ed lot who think they are Barcelona. I live in Leicestershire, know alot of their fans including an ex-player in Matt Elliot and his family and they're not like that at all. They are all thankful to be in the position they are and getting top quality players in.
I noticed that one chap had reminded them that just a few years ago Fryatt was a big signing, from then-League-Two Walsall.
Believe it or not, I've heard that we're actually in for one of the players on that list. Apparently, for the past couple of games Yakubu has looked like he couldn't care less and has just been ambling around the pitch and many of the Leicester fans think he should be dropped.
Even if Leicester do get one of those players, my point is that some of their fans are expecting to simply get them - ignoring the fact that there are a hell of a lot of factors that affect a players desire to join a team, one of which is whether or not they are above 9th in the 2nd division. Then again, if the money is good... And not only that, but why are they slagging off Yakubu, a fantastic Premier-League quality player who has a better strike-rate than 1 in 2 since he joined them!?!?
Midlands before i moved here i used to when younger go to school with Jade and Charlie Elliott. Are you from the Bosworth area then?
Their Thai owner is throwing a lot of money at promotion, they made big losses last year and have dramatically increased costs again this season. As his personal wealth is considerably lower than that of the Allam's, they could quite easily come seriously unstuck.
Ha, it's a small world! I live in Bosworth yes.. I went to school with them too, and Jordan (matts nephew). St. Peters! Pm me who you are pal..
They're getting worse, they reckon they're signing Klose now. http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A82581997 He's only on ã140k a week.
I've been thinking the same. They seem to be pinning everything on promotion this season. Can only be a good thing for us, if they don't go up they'll be deflated and penniless at the start of next season and we'll be ready to push up the table again
I think the majority of them are decent lads but one or two are deluded. One of them posted on original 606 last week, after we had won at Forest, saying that even they have better away form than us. Maybe he didn't or can't read the table or stats.
Leicester fan in peace.. Yakubu has not broken sweat in the past three/four games and its becoming highly obvious to us that he is here to get his name out again for a Prem Club to sign him up. If you see his goals they are all of high quality, the one against Derby was insane, but he only comes alive in the penalty area. We have a youngster (Martymn Waghorn) who sits on the bench, dying to play and normally replaces The Yak with about 10 minutes to go and doubles the distance Yakubu ran. Don't get me wrong, we are all delighted to have him and to be linked to the players we are linked with, but we just want Sven to show him he isn't undroppable, which he seems to think he is. Diomansy Kamara is quality at this level, as proven, but our fans seem fit to deny that. 4 in 9 for Yakubu is brilliant, but thats all he adds to the team :/ How is Hobbsy getting on?
I wouldn't say so. If you were taken over by rich Thai consortium like we are then your expectation levels would rise. If you had the money we had and you still signed Aaron Mclean, would you be as happy? We're perfectly entitled to our expectations, as are you.
We have a few mate, don't worry. They think the team should be performing like Barcelona every match and expect us to have Mascherano in midfield instead of Championship player James Harper.
You missed out, we also need the Male Voice Choir of Wales to make our support heard at the KC, then we, "wouldn't be boring at home" (loosely translated comment supplied by Twf'y, WUM's of HCAFC-Are-Us).
Fans with ambotion for their club? Call the police. More just expect the team to have another way of playing than hitting the long ball to short strikers. It doesn't work. Neither does defending a 0-0 or even a 0-1. Harper a Championship player? Come on, there's been generous with your descrptions and then there's that. He is at best a League 1 player and not what we need if we're serious about reaching the Prem again (Not that I think our management are). You're either really stupid or on crack. The atmosphere will improve when performances do, it's that simple.
Ribery is tongue in cheek, my 4 year old nephew could of told you that. Klose is a mystery involving this link> http://www.lcfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10274~2086776,00.html
