i dont think we need any addition to finish higher...this is a panic window and i for one am glad that we didnt spend for the sake of it.... Saha has replaced Pav...and Nelson is in for Bassong. You will know that at this stage of the season experience is key....aswell as a happy squad and good team morale. Pav has had a few spats with the management and yesterday was the last straw...he is a liability...he hardly played..and Saha hardly plays also...however Saha does bring with him the experience of being in a winning squad..a squad that has gone on to win the PL...i refer to Man United....for what was available this transfer window..that isnt a bad shout....i dont think we crave his goals tally too much..however when on song he is not shy. Bassong has only made a handful of appearences this season..mainly in the europa...we dont have that to offer no more..so he wont be of much use to us...and on the odd occasion we have needed him..yes he steps in but one thing we who watch him often state, is that he lacks experience and a cool head...Nelson,for what was available for a short term fix..might or might not bring that to the team,if ever required....but where is the risk? i dont think there is one. they are both short term options with no negativity attached and they saved us spending in a window that for me is a panic window more than anything else.
in fact Spurs do well this season , maybe it will keep their state ! please log in to view this image
What ? On the back of these two signings ? If Arsenal had signed them, the Whinger brigade would be having a monumental tantrum.
You damn right I'd be having tantrums, we have enough mediocrity at the club already thank you very much ! We need to lose the dead wood not add to it.
Actually Saha is a very good bit of business if he remains fit. He is still a quality striker and on his day can make the difference. All Spurs need is a back up striker that they can bring on now and again and make an impact. They already have Ade and Defoe so having Saha is a very good option. In my opinion, he is better than Defoe and is more clinical. As for the defender, im not sure about but the experience he must bring will be important for Spurs who will be challenging for the league/top 3 finish.
the spuds have swapped Pav for saha and Bassong for nelson, i know which ones id have in my team maybe harry's mind is else where then the transfer window
An unhappy and potentially disruptive Pav over Saha? If reports are to be believed he had a bust up with the coaching staff. Can't stay after that.
You would have to assume that he's given certain reassurances to Defoe as it looked certain he wanted out a few weeks ago - a week or two on the bench when things maybe don't go well, and in Euro Champs year, and maybe he'll become disruptive...
We were saying the same about Bellamy (32 years old and not getting first team footie) look how that turned out. Give saha a chance, not like he'd be worse than pav
To be honest i actually think that the saha signing is a great one for spurs, just so long as he stays fit and redknapp always seems to know what he's doing in the transfer window.
Saha is 33 and has been uninjured this year scoring twice and having one assist in 20 appearances. Moyes is as shrewd as Harry and he wouldn't be moving Saha on for free, if the guy had any value.
You mean service from Bale - the bloke with the brilliant assist record and who invariably screams down the wing only to send the ball into an empty penalty area time after time?
