Not just Reading. According to people I speak to, there are a few clubs unimpressed with approaches from your current regime.

Well, i guess I have no reason not to believe you but, if you're referring to us trying to unsettle players with public displays, then I certainly can't think of any. It was Adam Pearson who broke the silence over Stewart, Doughty and Cotterill were the ones who stated that our Morgan bids weren't good enough (maybe you could argue that we unsettled Morgan but I think it's more of a genuine case of the player wanting to leave rather than us mischief making). As I said, I can't think of any public displays made by our side - under Pearson anyway.

No, Fourth Official stated that Pearson was leaking bids to the press to unsettle players whilst the Stewart debacle was going on.

I'm not too sure about his Fourth Official character. In the summer, when obviously we were being linked with a lot of players, he seemed to just jump on the back of any rumour and hence, whilst he got a lot right, he also got a lot wrong.

You have your version, I have mine. You've posted nothing to make me change my mind on the goings on and no doubt I've posted nothing to make you change yours.

All I'll say is that an offer to had to have been made for someone to leak.
In accepting that, there's also no doubt Leicester were told we won't do business with them nor that the price offered was laughable.
That points to one version being more robust than the other and hints at why people from other clubs too seem to be unimpressed with Leicesters methods.

Leicester know we will finish above them and they cant beat us on the pitch. Nigel is desperate to beat us/finish above us so is resorting to dirty tricks. A ****s trick for the biggest **** in football.

McShane is available. He had a 20 minute blinder the other night. Go on flat top you know it makes sense.

Yet again Leicester supporters seem to think if you wave a big enough wad the rest will all fall into place.
I would have thought the Stewart and Sharp farces would have made it obvious that it's not that simple, but if Pearson wants to continue making a fool of himself that's alright by us.

I never said that Chester would definitely hand in a transfer request, I just said that, if he were to come, that would probably be the only way it would happen.

The Leicester mercury journo who started this has just tweeted "I have just changed the back page of the #Leicester Mercury. An #LCFC bid for Chester now unlikely. Big progress in another potential deal." We could have told him that before - must be a slow news day in Leicester.

A lot of unlikely things are possible in life but dwelling on them too long is a form of mental masturbation.

Unsettling a player(particularly with stories of a big pay rise) probably works in most circumstances, but when you have six lads who've been playing together for Man United reserves for a couple of years, share a couple of houses together and are almost always socialising together, it has far less chance of success.

I can't see any of them handing in a transfer request, they're good mates, there's a great team spirit and we're fifth in the league.

We don't seem a good ship to jump at the moment.

Wes Morgan I'd guess.

Well, bit of a fuss about nothing then

Feck me the Leicester journos are worse than the Fail.

I was thinking it was more like Burnsy with his regular predictions of doom that 2 hours later turn out to have been as wrong as it could be despite his "sources". Two options as to what's happened:

1) Leicester are after Morgan, there's a hitch in the deal because Forest are after a bit of extra cash so they leak to their reporter that they're planning a bid for Chester, Forest suddenly sort out the issue they were having in case the Morgan bid disappears. Could also have the side effect of unsettling a rival.

2) Leicester are after Morgan, there's a hitch in the deal and the reporter has guessed as to who their next target could be.

If Leicester do come after Chester though that £5M for Mills should be used as the guide price.
