How do you know he is leaking deals to the media, this could all be bollox which i think it maybe who knows

He offered a derisory £1m for Stewart, got told to phuck off and came back with an offer of £1.5m.

The guy is trying to unsettle our players. It didn't work with Stewart and it most certainly won't work with Chester who is bt far the most grounded of all our United kids.

Surely can't be true.. although after all the previous stuff with Stewart you wouldn't be too surprised. Pearson must have left on very unsavoury terms with Allam if he's to keep bidding for our players...

<ok> Proud_Fox was the originator.
Leicester have been criticised by a number of clubs for trying to unsettle players with leaked bids and public displays.

I assume you're referring to Reading? That was all under Sven where there were a lot of leaks but we haven't really had that under Pearson. Things like the Drinkwater and especially Delfounseo deals, we never knew about them until bids had been acceptaed. Even with Stewart, it was Adam Pearson who came out speaking about the bid whereas Nigel didn't comment. Someone said it before in this thread that it isn't the way Pearson operates.

As for the bid itself, the guy who wrote it is a Leicester Mercury journo and they are usually pretty reliable. The player is a good player no doubt but whether he's going to be worth what you're asking is a different matter. I wouldn't say it shows desperation from Pearson (all managers like to work with players they've done well with before) but I think we all know it will probably be rejected. We haven't done anything wrong by bidding for him but the only way I think we'll get him is if he forces through a move - how likely that is, we don't know but I'm not surprised Pearson wants him and it's probably worth a try to get the player. If he wants to come, we get a bargain and a very good defender; if he doesn't we'll move on to someone like Morgan. Nothing desperate about that.

Another thing that winds me up is that Leicester fans think they can justify offering peanuts by saying we only paid 300k for them. If thats the case I say we only bid 50k for Andy King as they never paid a transfer fee for him.

Not just Reading. According to people I speak to, there are a few clubs unimpressed with approaches from your current regime.

No, Fourth Official stated that Pearson was leaking bids to the press to unsettle players whilst the Stewart debacle was going on.

No matter what else happens, you won't end up getting a bargain.

Yet again Leicester supporters seem to think if you wave a big enough wad the rest will all fall into place.
I would have thought the Stewart and Sharp farces would have made it obvious that it's not that simple, but if Pearson wants to continue making a fool of himself that's alright by us.
