Okay, so he scored against us last night and he used to play for Portsmouth.....

However, reading his Twitter feed I feel really ashamed to be a Saints supporter today - take your pick from "do a Gary Speed and hang yourself" through to "don't bottle it like Windass and do it properly" via "I hope your family get AIDS" and "I hope your family died at Hillsborough"......

Now the majority of people on here are sensible, but if you do post here and then post that kind of stuff, or know the people that do, seriously, have a word. That's absolutely no way to behave.

    Moral lecture over!

Twitter can be useful; the Arab Spring certainly demonstrated that, and news about all manner of events have broken via tweets.

Then there is the other 98% of its traffic, which consists of useless twats embarrassing themselves because they can nominally direct a comment at someone borderline famous. This falls into that category.

Agreed. There are many positives to it actually, from a personal and business front, but it really does bring out the dregs. It's just horrible to see Saints supporters doing it.

All teams have their fair share of lowlifes. No defending it, but Nugent doesn't exactly help himself does he? He's one of them.

That is absolutely pathetics. It's only meaningless banter, some fans jsut take it too far with comments like that.

Nugent is irritating on the pitch yes, but really, if some of our players had shown that level of heart last night, the result would have been very different. We could do with a Nugent or two right now......I have no problem with it.

I wasn't talking about on the pitch, I found his antics amusing and he's well within his right to do that (although, did anyone else hear the commentator say "that's not a yellow" when he had Harding in a headlock? Clueless...), but read his tweets before last night, his attitude is terrible. I'd be sickened if any of our players spoke to fans like that.

Yes, granted, he is a bit of a tit. Still no excuse for that comeback though.

I will be the first to admit I gave him abuse at the ground when he came and celebrated right in front of us. In my opinion should have been booked for inciting the crowd. You could see he was absolultly thriving off it last night. I have never really liked him as a player and commented on twitter LCFC were the better team last night and deserved to win, but that doesn't take away from the fact Nugent is a f**king twat. But players are use to the meaningless banter during/after a game.

But totally agree some of the comments from other fans said were to far. I thought Nugent was right to retweet them just to show how low they had gone.

Nugent is a piece of lowlife scum. His tweet that said "gonna **** these scummers up" was extremely antagonistic and pretty pathetic from a professional footballer. He brought this ****e on himself (not condoning any of the tweets that take it too far e.g. Gary Speed, RIP).

It was embarrassing. The Northam End are usually good value but they do set us up for a fall at times.
    It happens.

Kevin Phillips(when at Brum), and more recently David James, look how well that turned out!

I know Nugent is a fishy pr*ck but we made it far too easy for him on and off the pitch.

Said before, Twitter is used (mostly) by sad twat's that see getting retweeted by so called celeb as amazing. Itis used by so called celebs to further enhance their egos by collecting as many followers as they can. All sad tbh.
