The point where I lost any time I had for him was the Palace game in the playoff season. Couldn't win fairly so he told Derry to take Windass out, next opportunity there's one of Derry's studs running down the back of Windass' leg. I'm sure after the game he denied it as well despite almost everyone in the ground having seen him give the instruction.
You've said that a couple of times, but is that enough to sack him? The best thing I can compare it to is PB in our first promotion season. He lost his bottle tactically and started packing the midfield after we lost a couple of games, but he had every right to do that after getting us there in the first place and was rightly given the chance to keep us up. I don't see why Warnock having got an average side promoted, didn't deserve that chance too.
For the record, I still think he's a bit of a prick.
It's enough when you're sliding down the table and are just about to drop into the relegation zone, Brown was given it because we didn't look in danger until the last few weeks. The mistake in the second season was giving him too long so all we could get to replace him was Dowie (I'd have rather left it to the remaining coaching staff). The owners are also putting a lot of money into the club, if Warnock losing the plot has made them lose confidence in him it's perfectly acceptable for them to put their own man in charge before they spend their money.
Obviously they have every right to sack their employee, but I can't see is as anything less than incredibly harsh that a manager who takes an average side up a division isn't given the season to keep them there. Even if they were really struggling you'd have to say that having got them there he deserves a season at that level.
What do the players who got them there deserve? You can't keep a manager on sentiment if his bizarre decisions are denying the players a fair chance of keeping them up.
The same players were mid-table before Warnock arrived. That's why QPR weren't expected to go up last season by anyone. He got them playing.
I don't think there's any doubting that Warnock did a good job getting them promoted, but their wealthy owner is looking to invest very significant money in bringing in players to keep them in the Premier League and if they don't have the confidence in him spending it wisely, then they had to make the change.

Just off the top of my head, Kenny, Hill, Orr, Derry, Taarabt, and Mackie weren't even at the club when Warnock arrived, so how were they mid-table?
He signed them.

Exactly, it's not the same players. The players that got them promoted deserve to be given a fair chance to remain PL players just as much as Warnock as manager would deserve it. As the turn in form came through Warnock's decision making changing it's him that's brought about the decline and is harming the chances of the others. If the players had lost form instead then it would be the other way rround and sacking Warnock would be wrong.
I think we're nearing a stalemate here.
I can understand your point of view, but it makes sacking almost any manager immediately justifiable. I think the similarities between this and PB are plentiful.
Almost all the first XI that were promoted were Warnock signings, you can add the Kyle Walker and Wayne Routledge loans to the list and almost all the signings had Premier League experience.

They've stuck with SWP on the right wing instead of starting him there and moving him to the left after 20 minutes, and they've brought DJ Campbell back into the starting lineup alongside Helguson. According to the BBC the last time he started was the win over Chelsea.

Erm, no. One change would be still playing 4321, bringing in Connolly (CB who can play DM) for Faurlin.
Instead he's brought in an attacking midfielder (Buzsaky) for Faurlin, dropped Derry for Campbell to completely change the tactics by going 442 and give Helguson support up front, and he's stopped putting SWP onto the left hand side with Mackie on the right when they're more effective the other way round. Problem he's got now is Campbell being out of the side for so long won't last all game so we'll have to see what happens when Smith or Bothroyd comes on for him. Bothroyd and Helguson was tried earlier in the season and didn't work so it'll probably be Smith.
