Celtic music + film soundtrack is instantly making me think you need to get the Road To Perdition OST by Thomas Newman. I'm not overly keen on it myself but that's because as a rule I'm not fond of celtic folk influence - sounds spot on for you though.

It's nice to finally speak to someone who's actually heard of stuff I listen to <laugh> And yeah, I completely agree!

<laugh> Tell me about it. There are so few people I know that I could actually talk to about a band like Oval.

Love that film! Thomas Newman is a genius. You can forget your Hans Zimmers, and your bloody Phillip Glass'. Thomas Newman, is the main man at making soundtracks. The American Beauty theme, is out of the this world.

But yeah, Celtic music is jolly good when your in the frame of mind. Imagine listening to the Braveheart theme, on top of the Cullins in Skye on a clear summers afternoon. The adrenaline rush I got from that was blinding.

I actually live for the urge of happiness, and adrenaline I get from music. The rest of the time im usually one grumpy bastard

Not a fan of Newman! <sorry> I can think of dozens of composers of soundtracks I'd take over him. Hermann, Steiner, Komeda, Schnittke and even Shostakovich's film work spring to mind immediately.

That was a good little track. Reminds me of a remix I heard of Counterpoint by Delphic. By The Chain I think.

My dyslexia is really kicking in tonight boys. I apologise in advance if my sentences make no sense.

In a much lower cultural note, has anybody notice 'Jonas Memories' is trending on twitter? For a minute a thought Spiderman had left, mini-heart attack. Turns out it's some American chastity bracelet wearing tossers.

<laugh> I'm a pretentious son of a bitch, what can I say? Hermann and Shostakovich are enormously famous though so I wasn't digging into the obscure for them. Komeda was a polish jazz musician who also wrote film scores for most of Roman Polanski's early films like Rosemarys Baby and Knife in the Water.

I'll give that a listen at some point tonight. In the mean time, here's a song that always makes me drift away from reality whilst listening that you might enjoy.

Never heard of them <laugh> I'm not a massive film buff though, it has to be said. I'll give them all a listen like.

I still prefer the first SAW mind <whistle> Can't deny that Vol II has some utterly beautiful songs on though!

EDIT: Beat me to it PTN, but I agree with you <laugh>
