Hell yes, that was brilliant. So you're into Drone too eh? You've obviously got everything by Stars of the Lid right?! Those guys basically own that entire genre . If not.. I'll not spam the video in here because it will annoy everybody else but check it out yourself if you want more stuff that is very much like that great Hammock track you just put up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSOFCQMNkRg
I love Suns of the Lid. Sun Drugs leaves me emtionally drained. It takes me along time to come round after listening to that! You might like Explosions in the Sky http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0MHpwDatfso&feature=related This is how the end of the world will sound like...
I got their album The Rescue a few years ago and hated it but this track you just linked me to is miles better: more sparse which suits the style better in my opinion.
Really!? There isn't a bad thing they've done Each to their own I guess. But yes, I love the whole Ambient, Shoegaze, Dream Pop, and Drone style of music. As, I just love being taken on trips. I come out of them having had millions of thoughts, ideas and even half an Epiphany once. Which was ruined when my dog once jumped on me. I was gutted...I've never been able to get into such deep thought of mind since.
I love this style of music too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLUtCM7CoBc Never been able to find anything similar.
I know was gutted when I clicked on the link and heard them talking about people I've never heard off.
Don't think it will work, the sort of people that get this going are the sort of people who idolise people like One Direction, Justin Bieber, The Wanted and JLS. Need we say anymore.
! Devastating. Yeah there isn't much better than a long stare into space and letting your thoughts take over. With regards to your other post, look into some soundtracks and modern classical. It won't be identical but some stuff conjures up very similar atmospheres, such as this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qc_5svk4TaY
Honestly, mate, I was devastated. I'am abit of a Nihilist. So, when in my mind i was starting to see what life was really all about, my dog comes in and ruins it. Yeah, I do listen to alot of soundtracks, some awful, some amazing. I quite like Titanic (NOT CELINE DION) and Braveheart soundtracks. I know they're very mainstream, but Im very partial to celtic music.
For me its pretty much an impossible choice between Cross Selling and Store Check. Both incredible for their own individual reasons; that tiny little theme that keeps returning in Cross Selling (you'll instantly know the one I mean here) is just about one of the coolest things to come out of 1990s music .
