I think we have done better when teams try and hold out against us and sit deep. Blackpool by-passed our midfield playing it quickly to the front and Bristol City outnumbered us in the middle; both tactics were far more successful than Middlesbrough and Hull's defensive game plan.

What do you think is the reason behind your midfield being so crap? Is it that they don't gel together, they have no technical ability/footballing brains, lack of confidence/form or is it just the fact it is clearly unbalanced due to you having no wingers?

When Sol Bamba plays we are solid at the back but miss him badly. The midfield is basically just ****. And Nugent and Beckford will score if they are given decent chances

Wellens and King have been more than shocking. Partly because I dont think they suit each other, partly because neither are quick enough and partly because each think they have a god given right to be in the side.

Isn't that what the midfield is for?<laugh>

That's the point.

Wellens and King were our highest in assists (Wellens) and goals (King) last season.

They've been nothing but consistently ****e this year.

Just remember saints you just might be under a bit of pressure when you play leicester because we are home to Forest and i fully expect us to be top come 5 o'clock on saturday, thet leaves you lot under a little bit of pressure to regain top spot.

All the best Brooking

Good point, but i'm pretty sure Leicester are under a lot more pressure at the moment <laugh>

With all due respect, most Saints fans will be paying much more attention to the Cardiff and Middlesborough results.

Agreed. Going up is more important than winning the title, nice as that might be. Most Saints fans know we are unlikely to stay top until the end of the season but we don't mind coming second.

Having said that, West Ham have had plently of chances to go top in the last 3 months but every time Saints have a bad game, so do they, it seems.

We thrive on pressure, whereas your lot seem to lose their nerve when they've had the chance to go top.

All the best IOAG

Well, you might be right, but I wouldn't bet on it..

How many times have we ****ed it up and you still couldn't take advantage. It must have been getting embarressing for you..

The only worry you should have is finding a way past Kasper Schmeichel, the rest should be pretty straight forward

Unless Kasper gets sent-off against Forest again, and misses our game (from memory, you got slightly lucky last time that you had a Carling match inbetween his sending off and us going to your place)
