I'll use Kris Boyd as a perfect example... Banged them in for fun for Rangers, got a move to Middlesbrough, did **** all and is now a free agent.
Yeh I agree, although he has scored a few free kicks and over head kicks, a lot of the defending was poor.
Rumours we want Mauro Zarate on loan , well if they get Tevez they will probably need to offload someone Really like Zarate too gotta lot of ability
Depends on the context. A long range free-kick is theoretically no different in any league. If you bang them in the top corner consistently, chances are you'll do so whichever league you play in. Also depends on the team you play for in a given league - a poacher would thrive at Celtic and Rangers, who create the most chances in the league, but not so much at the other teams. Gary Hooper's record for Celtic is better than it was for Scunthorpe, even though the SPL is generally considered a better league than League One and the Championship. This is because he gets more chances at Celtic. Bit like Ba's Newcastle record compared to Hoffenheim. The only goals you can really dismiss are those where they take on a few players, or beat the keeper easily - factors which would be different in a better league.
Don't know too much about him other than he is a boss in FIFA 12! http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/media-watch/reds-and-arsenal-battle-for-brazil-striker
Welliton is frigging immense. I've been banding him name about for a while... http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/107874-Will-we-invest-this-January?highlight=Welliton I thought Spurs might have gone for him last summer
How about Hoilett from Blackburn? Young and exciting and apparently Kean has said they are willing to listen to offers with his contract up in the summer. Cheeky £5mil bid.
So true! By the way, I've heard that Newcastle's Demba Ba has a £7million buyout clause, if this is true and as simple as it looks, its not really the biggest gamble (Previous injury concerns regarding his knee) and if he scores a few goals in just half a season he could be worth the money. If he does have a £7million clause then I would seriously suggest we go for him, although he would be out of a few games due to the African Cup of Nations. I'd do that.
I like the look of Hoilett although I do think Sterling will be as good if not better than him in the near future (if he keeps his feet on the ground). Did notice the story about Ba having a 10mill release clause in his contract that's appeared this morning (Daily Fail though so might be complete bollox) Get in there Comolli find out if it's true
Liverpool have held talks with the representatives of Colombian international striker Jackson Martinez, who could make an £8.5million move from Mexican side Jaguares.
For rumours involving Liverpool I normally use: http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/media-watch I'm sure there are loads more but this is what I use. Maybe the BBC gossip column as well.
