I think we need to adapt a siege mentality.

I purposefully do not post on this board to avoid conflict with you guys because no matter what I say the siege mentally (which already exists and has done for a long time) instantly kicks in with several people here . This post only re-enforces this view and perhaps the reality is that I am not the problem, nor are many visitors who dare tread on to this board. It is people such as yourself who think anyone that is not a QPR does not hold a valid opinion and you instantly want to flame them.

That would be a shame. I enjoy hearing the views of supporters of other teams and the vast majority add to the board. It's only really Hammersmith and his various aliases that 'wum' and then get in a huff if someone posts on their board.
Returning to the original question!, I'm starting to worry that we're doing such a bang-up job in recent matches that we don't have any relegation rivals anymore.
Agree entirely with this. Fans from other clubs who have positive points to make or engage in a bit of good humoured banter, are always welcome here so far as I'm concerned. If Thaicanary perceived a siege mentality at the moment, it's because our team is in close to free-fall mode. If we were lying 6th in the Prem, he would find us all much more magnanimous!

True, we rarely got more than 20k v qpr at home, but we got 30k for the bigger derbies v fulham and west ham as they always brought a good following back in the day.
Can't agree with this at all Nines. There are a few Rangers-only MBs out there if we only want to talk amongst ourselves.
Personally, I agree with Watford. Respectful interaction with fans of other clubs is what made 606 and makes this site so relevant and interesting. A bit of friendly banter has traditionally been the fuel that drives much football debate and long may it continue.
There is absolutely nowt wrong with fans like Thai and District coming on here to share their thoughts with due respect. Of course they want their teams to win. What football fan doesn't but they're hardly anti-Rs are they?
Malicious wummers, be they outsiders on here or any of us on other boards, simply achieve chaos through deliberate provocation. Whilst I can ban wums on here, I can't do much about us doing it elsewhere (other than to make sure I'm not party to it). It is up to the mods on the boards in question to sort our wum people out if they want to.
I agree with what you're saying Brix...but District is often condescending when he posts, so I reserve the right to berate him.
He certainly was in his approach to OP-ing this particular thread - which he has subsequently acknowledged. Why have I decided to ignore the wind-up factor here? I didn't and posted accordingly above. However District's past record has been pretty good so he gets the benefit of the doubt on this occasion.
And Col, of course you have the right to (respectfully) berate anyone you regard as a numpty. I've never complained when you do that with me, much less District or other non-RS!!

Fair enough mate. It's only a forum and not worth falling out over. I see the very well disguised hint of wind up in a lot of what DL says about our club. On other topics he is, as you say, thought provoking. I may well be wrong....time will tell mate!
