Hahaha, that was such a mental day <laugh> Everyone went nuts when it happened then calmed down and the board was empty by mid afternoon because we all went off to sulk <laugh> Never ending cycle of "stop posting Nolan threads!" threads!

I wasn't even bothered because his legs were going. I knew we would be getting Cabaye so ot was never a problem.

MLS is a decent league. Luke Rodgers, Charlie Davies or Dwayne DeRosario are all pretty dependable attacking players (De Rosario is more of an AM but still gets goals) and would probably be available to loan during the MLS off season (by the end of which Ba will probably be back)

I think Barton's twitter got a battering too, a lot of fans asking him if the reports were true! He was at the Grand National at the time wasn't he? Appeared on sky sports in his top hat and tails <laugh>
Honestly can't remember! Yeah you've been registered since January, so it's just whenever you remembered to post haha. Never seen anything so crazy on here. Glad I wasn't mod at the time, Leazes had to sort out all the millions of threads!

I'm hoping that with Arsenal and Everton looking there as well as West Brom and a couple of other clubs giving trials to players, it'll have at least alerted us to the league! I'd love us to have an American player, they always seem to be hard working and solid enough.
 
Honestly, I think we don't need striking cover this window.
Demba and Benny are great, Best is good, and Shola will do a job if need be - hell, we even have Sammy and Vuckic before we even consider Lovenkrands, to say nothing of playing Obertan "in the hole"...
We need to improve on what we have, which means another top-quality striker, which means waiting until the summer.

What we need in this window is cover, particularly defensive cover, so we'll hopefully sign a CB. Another two-sided fullback wouldn't go amiss and neither would a winger, but I wouldn't want to be greedy. <ok>
