I lasted 6 minutes watching the game live before deciding I'd rather be asleep.

Just watched the highlights; correct decision.

Scotland deserve nowt - full of mistakes, lack of ambition and woeful lack of nous infront of goal.

All that from a 9 minute highlight package.

At least McBurnie would have given them a chance of scoring. Hope Clark regrets not taking him out of spite.

Under the old rules Denmark would have been seeded in pot 2, Greece pot 3, Scotland would have been in 4 and they’d also have had in their group one of

Spain
England
Portugal
Holland
Belgium
Italy
Germany
Croatia
Switzerland
Austria

Much less chance of them getting out of a proper group in a normal World Cup.

If they didn’t have 48 teams to make this stupid format they probably wouldn’t have even got 3 points. In fact they probably wouldn’t be in the tournament whatsoever.
i will never stop moaning about it, rather they went whole hog and invited another 16 ****e no hopers (Wales still wouldn't qualify) to make it 64 teams and go back to top 2 only. Easier to qualify than it is to get knocked out, total nonsense

Scotland were poor against Haiti, awful against Morocco and unimpressive so far tonight.

McTominay may as well have stayed at home.

You just love to see it, don't you <party>
They're always good for a laugh - have been since the says of "Ally's army" If not before <laugh>

It’s definitely made a farce of the group stage. Found it difficult to really engage much interest in it so far, as a lot of these games feel more akin to warm ups than proper tournament matches.

Case in point, Scotland v Haiti, and the winner knows they’ve god a decent likelihood of advancing to the next round.

OK the different time zones complicate things but by having game shown during the evening which people see, then more games in the middle of the night which people don't so you're only getting half the story. Seems like despite the bbc and ITV showing games neither have a decent daily catch up program.

Been banging this drum since Euro's expanded to 24 and Portugal won the whole thing after coming 3rd in their group with 3 draws. Waters down the quality and excitement, makes it too easy to qualify for the tournament itself. Just ****e.

Every game has a highlight package on YouTube, which I've found to be good for the middle of the night games, as the lead-in doesn't mention the score so you can watch them whilst maintaining a modicum of interest.

Some of the games are so devoid of interest though that they're not worth watching a short highlights reel for.

It'll pick up once the knockout rounds start. The group stage has just become a money making exercise that guarantees the big countries get through.

The flip side, to be fair, is that countries such as Cape Verde can take part, which must be a joy for the people of those countries.

Both the BBC and ITV have highlights shows, but they're on demand, not just normal broadcasts.
