I had to laugh at this, discussion on which school Prince George goes to next term (it's Eton btw).

Among the suggestions under discussion, which seemed to focus on private rather than state schools, was Marlborough College, the school his mother Catherine had attended.

'Seemed to focus', they're having a laugh aren't they?

Out for a bimble with a couple of mates, got to Wharram Le Street and noticed my mate looked to be burning oil quite badly, was worse than that - the rubber bung in his engine case had blown out, covering his left leg, boot, back box, swinging arm etc etc in oil, sprayed a bit over my bugger as well. Ingenious roadside fix

Excellent.

Did the cable tie hold out when the casing heated up?

Considering how long they have been making bikes you would have thought they would be able to do the simple things by now. I remember helping out a German in Romania with the same problem, must have been 20 years ago.

This near collision between a Russian warship and the pensioners yacht. Even in the old folks statement they said the Russians gave 2 x 5 short blasts of their horn and that in response that they altered course by two degrees.

That set me wondering just how much of a change is that, doesn't sound like much and would it be noticeable. Well looking at a clock or watch there is 30 degrees between each hour, between the hours the minute indicators are 6 degrees apart. So 2 degrees is 1/3 of the distance the minute hand moves between each minute mark. In other words **** all.

Of course non of this applies if you have a digital watch.

Is it just me that thinks this is actually a non-story?

Dozy idiots getting within 500m of a military vessel...

Used to be a 1km exclusion zone around US navy vessels in international waters.

Proof that the Russians aren't all bad, if they're firing on UK yachting pensioners.
