Not the most reliable source admittedly, but quite a few reports, including from Turkey, linking Trossard with a move to Besiktas for a €20m fee. Considering he's 32 next season and has 1 year left on his deal, that would represent a decent price IMO.

Real Madrid are like us from 15 years ago, hoovering up has-beens on frees at the tail-end of their careers that can't quite cut the mustard at top clubs anymore. They're after Rodri now too apparently.

I reckon we should take Vinicius off their hands to save their wage bill.

Vinicius-----Rogers------Saka

Bosh.
Vinicius junior is THE most overrated pile of trash in football.

Thing is, who are we getting for 20 million that will as good as Trossard for us next season?
Whilst the money for a 32yr old seems to make sense, I only care about whether we’ll be better.
I would give Trossard another 2 years.

Mesut Özil's Shirt Sales Impact
Instant Spike
: When Özil joined in 2013, Arsenal experienced a 12-fold increase in online shirt sales, with the overwhelming majority of customers asking for his name.
Top Seller: The official Arsenal club store data consistently ranked Özil as the number one top-selling name on fans' jerseys for multiple seasons during his prime.

Kai Havertz's Merchandise Impact
Solid Stats
: While Havertz has been an incredibly important and fan-favorite player in the squad, his retail shirt sales never reached the absolute market dominance of Özil's peak.
Ozil was elite.
Havertz is very very good.
If Havertz was a top class finisher he’d be top 5 in the world and elite.
He’s been a great signing regardless.

Jay when we bought him he was ****ing awful, so much so I said when we were first linked with him of we buy that scaghead looking prick I would find Arteta and bitchslap him. He had 3 years of being **** at Chelsea, yes he was a big prospect when they bought him, but come on, there is no way you can tell me hos spell at Chelsea was a success - apart from his CL winning goal!
There are more shades of grey between being **** and being a success.
His Chelsea time was mixed. Some brilliant highs and some low lows.

Definitely the replacement for Trossard if he leaves

I know it's the Belgian league, so not a strong indicator of a player's quality and I don't recall watching him play, so no idea how good this Tzolis is at all. But **** me, his numbers are incredible.

In 52 games, he got 22 goals and 29 assists across all competitions this past season?! That's outrageous.

Reactions: Diego
Lol how are you even comparing those players to Havertz? Wiltord was a CF pushed out to the wing so an entirely different skillset. Reyes was underwhelming for us, the difference though, he wasnt regarded as one of the best young players in the world as Havertz was when he went to Chelsea. And RVP was NEVER ever ****.

And as for Ozil, give me Ozil over Havertz any day. World class player.
I think it's a fair comparison. Havertz has already surpassed Ozils Arsenal legacy.

Ozil his the most overrated player in recent Arsenal History.

Don't get me wrong ability wise - top class, but he played for us during a period we would routinely get PUMPED by the big sides. That would never happen to us now - for all the criticsm Odegaard and Havertz get, they fight, they work and they don't coware away like Ozil did.

There's not an Arsenal player in history that pisses me off more than Mesut because the guy NEVER played well in big game for us. Mr Invisible when it mattered.

There has to be a deal lined up here. Surely, he wouldn't be coming out and saying this if a deal wasn't somewhat close?

Ive not really seen anything of this guy, his numbers last Season (in an albeit poor league) are impressive.

Interesting, I do think Barcola, Leao, Williams are ALL little over-priced and overrated. There's a dearth of quality wingers at the moment - I think this is the outcome of teams copying Peps systems. Funny how there's TONS of AMF/CM options but hardly any outstanding LW/RW options.

This is the difference between you and me and the reason why I detest football in its current state amd assume you love it !

I like artisans, I like mavericks, they are what draw people into the game ! I don't want to see my attacking players defending, leave that to the rest of the team, let the attacking players attack.

Nobody ever watched Carlton Palmer and said I want to be like him, no football talent but a super soldier who can run up and down all day. You balance out your Ozils by playing them next to Khediras ! Unless of course you are a muppet of a manager and don't give Ozil the tools he needs.

Nobody wants to be Zubimendi, nobody wants to be Norgaard, young players want to be exciting players, thats who they idolise, this football by numbers bollox gots to go.

You see thats because I'm not influenced by the tabloids and trashy media like yourself. I can appreciate that football isn't just attacking - being good at football doesn't have to mean being an attacking side. It's funny because 30 years ago the British media would have agreed with me.

Yes I value strength, grit, physicality, workrate, mentality.

Funny how you said "Nobody wants to be Zubi/Norgaard" rather than Declan Rice or Gabriel. which are surely the better examples. Plenty of people wanted to be Patrick Viera, Tony Adams, Roy Keane or Beckenbauer.

Ozil did nothing for us, Arteta won us the league. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
