Just made the mistake of watching the video from Belfast. Awful :(

I am really shocked that these kinds of videos exist and that they then get uploaded online. I believe the BBC posted this incident too.

I have to say that I find this kind of stuff disgusting. It is wrong that people film this stuff let alone publishing it. My wife had loads of clips of the earthquake in the Philippines an the same issue applies there. I think the press has a duty to report news yet I think there should be censorship on what is published. There were clips that my wife was unacceptable including kids being traumatised. I refuse to watch it these clips but watching an attempted murder is beyond the pall.

I am generally sympathic with the fate of refugees but I do wonder who is checking stuff like mental health.

Quake in yer boots. Around 36,000 people arrived by small boats in the year ending 31 May 2026.
Approximately 38,000 people without the right to remain in the UK were recorded leaving, marking a 9% increase over the previous year.

Shame that Farage was not amongst those leaving.

BBC was where I saw it and was too surprised they showed it, even censored.

I saw the clip was on BBC but did not want to watch. I think this is a massive slip up in integrity let alone my misgivings about whoever felt it was ok to film and those who felt the misfortunes of the victim did not matter.

I find knife crime is alost being legitimised and am glad that the likes of Sit Idris Elba have gone a lot fo campaign against this. My wife mislaid the small kitchen knife last month and the grief buying a replacement was indicative that there are measures in place to restrict knife sales on Amazon.

Not quite sure why Lexley-Lennon is still at large. I think free speech is important but what he is doing is transgressing this. I would be inclined to take him to court to pay for the damage caused by the rioters he inspired. It will be interesting to see how Farage reacts.

People who use these terrible, terrible crimes as an excuse to go rioting are nothing more than garden variety ****bags.
"Connor Bishop, 24, was sentenced to two years and eight months and Leon O'Leary, 41, was jailed for three years and one month. Both pleaded guilty to violent disorder at a previous hearing."

"They are the first people to be sentenced after violence on 2 June saw 12 police officers and a police dog injured as missiles including wheelie bins and chairs were thrown."

"A total of 21 people, including Bishop, from Southampton, and O'Leary, from Basingstoke, have been charged in connection with the disorder."

It's attempted murder at the least, and arguably terrorism.

Certainly under the new terrorism "laws" or levers being applied by the state.

"Stay calm. Keep your heads. Do NOT attack the police. The state will show you no mercy. The dangerous ‘far-right’ will be blamed, and your life will be ruined forever. It will be that brutal. However angry you are feeling now, it is not worth it.

Protest - but do it loudly, do it peacefully."

Rupert Lowe - of all people - did tell them.

Which is pragmatic, you can't have the shrill cries of "two tier policing!", if they're caught on camera trying to hide their identities while burning down people's homes.

There were no riots and incendiary and divisive rhetoric from politicians and certain parts of the media after this...

In fact it was barely reported, I certainly missed it.

All attacks of this nature are bad, it's how we react to it as a nation that matters, we should listen to the families of the victims that don't want their tragic loss to be a catalyst for hate and division.

So that'll be two tier politicing and two tier journalism well past understanding by the flag shagging knuckle draggers burning up the streets.

And ignorant, bigoted ****s like Jim Davidson going on Youtube stoking it up as well.
He was saying that the Stephen Lawrence murder was different somehow to Henry Nowak and that he knew the thugs that did it and also saying that Henry is great "English" name (completely overlooking his Polish surname and that Henry was originally Norman French...<doh>).
