Has anyone discovered why it sounds like we're getting a points deduction in the Prem rather than when we return to the championship?

They changed the rules after Leicester used the loophole to try to avoid a penalty. It's never actually been done in practice though so it's not guaranteed we'd cop one.

I wonder if Pandur may be sacrificed, if there's interest.....of our regular starters he could rack up a sensible fee (3-4m) and would prob be the easiest position to backfill from July onwards

We should only sign Fruk if we also sign Yu & they both play together.

The chants would out-weigh any results
Never mind the chants (which would be great in person), what about the commentary? Worldwide audience, high pressure environment, what could possibly go wrong?

They’re still citing “The bowler’s Holding, the batsman’s Willey” now, and that was in 1976!

I wouldn't be mad with that.. its a shame we have to sell anyone but if its the reported 6 million, maybe 1 big replaceable player would be an easy fix.

To preface this, we of course don't actually know the details of this and hopefully all is ok. But, I did think it was a bit odd that Acun talked about going back down with parachute payments and spending on younger players and so on in the Q&A, I'd expect him to be much more bullish talking about signing loads of mad players.

£6m seems like a mental amount of money to need to gather given we've not paid a fee for a while.

I wonder if other teams also wouldn't want to buy players, for the same reason we need to sell. Book balancing is a hell of a mess.

I wouldn't be mad with that either. To be honest I really don't think any of the current batch are good enough for the PL, but some may have a better chance than others and the trick may be to balance their current and potential value. Although only 25 Pandur has probably hit his ceiling?

I think any professional in any field has a chance of kicking on when going through a big transitional period like this, but it'll definitely be a case of "sink or swim" in the first few weeks of the season for a few of these lads... only a small handful of them are likely to prosper in the Prem (hopefully still playing for us, of course)

Other clubs will also be struggling to hit their PSR targets as well so, trying to get deals done before 1st July could well prove tricky.
Clubs know we need to off load to hit the target, means we are going to get low ball offers.
Don't forget we owe £2m extra for Omur now that we got promoted into the PL.

Interesting times ahead over the next few weeks.
