One recent example previously agreed and cited by you. Osula. Maybe you're wrong.

Maybe he was already good and now he's playing.... Ultimately without money we'd have been relegated and I don't subscribe to the mangerial thing.

See why you're a Bruce fan

I was never a Bruce fan, but I don't believe in the significance of managers above spending and recruitment.

It's not agenda based either... For some it was don't like Bruce so no credit was assigned even for wins, and I managed to, so I'm happy with that.

He was exactly what you have called football managers. He had no tactics and left it to the players

Like I say results didn't improve until after the January transfer window.... The improvement after the signings was dramatic.

These managers ride waves and whistle into the wind... If anything it's the team of coaches behind them, but ultimately it's the players they've got and for as long as they are on board.

The mangerial thing has been rammed down our throats by TV and media.

Or it took a couple of months for EH to get the unfit, tacticless players to get used to what he was asking.

It's means he got lucky.

It's a play on a bad luck saying 'my lucks so bad that if I fell into a bucket of tits I'd come out sucking me thumb!'

Ah 'kay.

All these sayings sound a bit bizarre at face value - ie if I fell into to either a bucket of thumbs or tits, my concern would be not suffocating on said thumbs or tits, rather than what I was sucking upon escape from the bucket.

In the same way sore thumbs never stick out, when it's raining it never seems like cats and dogs are coming out of the sky etc.

Bearing in mind we're still playing players before him then yes it's a coincidence. Of course new players will help but remember those new players had been playing under managers who had them training and with tactics

I don't subscribe to that at all... We got better when the club bought better players mate. The manager thing these days has become largely a nonsense imo.

Anyway, it's all getting a bit surreal here with bucketfuls of thumbs and tits.

****ty season but the levels we're at now mean the effect is nothing like it was in the Ashley days. Learn from last season transfer window and get back on track

I actually think recruitment under Ashley was good.. It's just the fact not much money was available..... The last couple of years we bought well and we bought very well before we finished 5th.

You obviously don't believe that. You know and I know.

<laugh>
I do believe it... He was already probably a good player and now he's playing.

Anderson didn't suddenly go to forest and get good, he already was.

On the second part we would absolutely have gone down with or without Howe if we didn't spend big that January.

Obviously the win very much needed. Same problems were fully evident though and only an absolute howler from Minteh denied the usual cluster ****.

Obviously never read Viz and Sid the Sexist.

Not really no tbh, still have the Viz annual The Big Bellend, which I got as an Xmas present from an uncle like 30 years ago or something, but never got the comics. Loved it some places, but generally found it a bit chaotic and random.

It other news Man U just ****ed up a 2-0 lead.

To be fair to Howe (and the coaching staff at the time), he turned Joelinton from a ****e forward into a midfielder good enough for a Brazil call up. Wilson, Miggy, Willock, Schar (who Bruce refused to play) were all improved also. All the poor players he didnt want he loaned out until their contracts expired or sold - hendrick, gayle, haydon, fraser, shelvey. lewis, clark etc. Awful lot of dross in that team he inherited so of course he had to spend money. The only player with sell on value was maxi.
