Well safe, but still a huge mess with £340m on bench - Barnes and Hall need to start, Gordon to be sold, Trippier to leave solves some of it, but Wissa is well....Wissa, and EH seems to have totally ditched Woltemade now. After all the signings made, I really didn't envisage Osula leading the line.
Hopefully we can win the next 3, although I'd hope beatening West Ham doesn't keep Spurs up.

I think they know they've actually found a star of the future tbh.. Osula is an exciting prospect at this point.... Keep at all costs imo.
Even Barnes is crap. It’s a squad chock full of crap. But Howe will be leading it into next season.
It basically means the seasons a write off before it's even started more than likely.
The signings will all be ****e again. Not one signing will be even remotely exciting.
Well we’ve got to replace Woltemade, Gordon, Tonali I’d say, we need a ****ing good keeper, we need cover at full back and centre défense, we need an actual cdm, an actual cam, a rethink on tactics and at least four new players across the front 6, because sure as **** we’re now stuck with the 433.
Howe is a chequebook manager at the end of the day, so the only hope is that the right cheques are written I guess.
I suppose there's some encouragement in the fact he's potentially identified a talent in Osula.
Lol, he was nearly sold last summer but it fell through at last minute. Howe has basically fallen into a bucket of thumbs and come out sucking a tit!

He's playing him and he's scoring goals.. He is doing some very exciting things imo.... One of my main issues with Howe has been his failure to use youth and find players on the cheap.

So true. That's why nobody, and I mean nobody, has ever touched upon or mentioned any of our players improving as result of his coaching.
Results didn't improve until after the 1st window and players tend to improve when playing alongside better players.
Last summer recruitment didn't go well and players stopped improving or even got worse.hmmmmm maybe I'm right.

Regardless of semantics, Osula looks potentially top tier - strong and committed and really wants to go at teams, combining that with improved finishing and regular goals starting to come, he's looking the part. Also there's an improved awareness now - ie yesterday for his goal expecting the ball and getting in the right place and taking defenders out the way. Still rough around the edges somewhat - see early chance he fluffed against Arsenal that could have changed everything.
He just needs more support - ie Woltemade, Gordon and Barnes around him rather than Murphy and Wissa.
