Just to say I was wrong and we are safe. Well done to Nathan Jones and his Staff for keeping us in the Championship for another season. We played more football today, not so much hoofball. Two excellent goals and some solid defending. I have already applied for my S/T for next Season. Are you getting one Lardy? Regards to all the Charlton fans on here. Have a good Summer.

Why is that, Lardi, if you don't mind my asking? It seems a great shame that you invest in a season ticket but don't get along too often.

A combination of individually minor health issues at present.
With 11 years invested in my current job (with a small company I really like working for) and around 8 years to retirement, almost all my energy goes into Monday to Friday, and making sure I do the best for them that I can (rather than just 'phone it in' if you get my drift).
Weekends have become more about resting up.

However I do find that, like the seasons of the year, my energies can come and go on a slow cycle. I attended most of out home games from August until that run of defeats saw us slide down the table this season. I don't know why but I've always been something of a 'Winter' person. I tend to feel more energised (for want of a better word) when the days are shortening and the cold nights are returning.

Money is now not really a factor either. It has been tight for several years, but now I've got that side of things under control. Not claiming to be wealthy, but I can afford to invest in a ST without having to worry about it. So I can contribute to the Club in a small way by renewing. And on home match days when I'm able to stroll along to the ground I don't have to muck about buying a ticket. I like the convenience of that.

Chances are (and fingers crossed) I'll feel somewhat more robust by the end of a Summer of interesting signings :emoticon-0100-smile
Also the stresses of moving home during this Spring have not been much fun. But that process will be completed soon. After living in the same digs for over 20 years I was surprised to find how 'temporary' things can feel, when you have put all your junk into storage and are waiting in an empty place to move into somewhere new. Move date coming up soon, and it will be good to settle in and unpack my bits & bobs again (such as they are).

My personal goal - to get my bum onto my seat more often in 2026-27 than I did this season. And that will be more enjoyable now that Charlton have survived to fight another Championship campaign. This really is a decent league to be part of. Always plenty going on and good opponents to test ourselves against <ok>

I didn't mean to sound self-indulgent by the way. We all have our crosses to bear, most of us including health ones.
Hey ho. We all get by as best we can :emoticon-0170-ninja
I try and not have a what if attitude, and have a what is and deal with it one.
I moved house last year, and it's amazing the junk you collect that you don't really need. I was ruthless and had lots of visits to the local recycling centre. :emoticon-0138-think

The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.

So we finish 19th, six points clear of the drop zone, having not been in the bottom three all season.

48 points was enough to secure Championship football, which we achieved on 14th March.

Less negativity needed next season.

This isn’t ITWV.
