I used to say that when we signed players in the prem.So the ponds at the sides have gone. There was a big debate / argument somewhere as to wether they had or had not. Not seeing over 20 million though.

The ponds are still there. So the ponds at the sides have gone. There was a big debate / argument somewhere as to wether they had or had not. Not seeing over 20 million though.
Not all of them surelyThe ponds are still there.
The two big ones either side of the entrance (and the one in front of the college) are still there, to be honest I can't remember exactly what was there before. Not all of them surely

For perspective it cost, on average, £30 million to build a mile of motorway. They spent £20m+ to make it look the same as it did in the 1970s?
It was there when I was wallowing in it following our promotion in 1983, I was rather tired and emotional. Full of mud and water a couple of taxis wouldn't drive me home, the Lada driver had no problem in doing so!I can't remember there being one on the right before.
Amy Johnson?Didn't they fish a body out of the left about 10 years ago?

Gloria Beilby actually, and a pound of sausages. And was it Glenn Millar they found in the right pond?
What about the Westow Netty? My favourite was the pissoir at the end of Spring Bank West.
Walking home from Spiders it marked the halfway point and I was usually in need of a wazz by then.
The ponds are still there.
No it was a shopping trolley.Didn't they fish a body out of the left about 10 years ago?
Why are you obsessing over the ponds that are clearly still there? We have an abundance of water around the city centre, do you even complain about the azure blue of Princes Dock? Many cities with huge investment would kill for the large green space of Queens Gardens in their city centres, Leeds and Manchester have nowt like it. Looks great to me and the joined up Maritime Hull theme is almost complete. Good work.In the photo they have managed to make the two ponds at the top end green, the same colour as the grassy bits. Makes the over 20 million even more inexplicable.
