.He opens his bum and words come out.And the “most predictable event of the week award” goes to………
You guessed it - Reams wants NJ sacked (again).
Apparently despite the fact that we have the second lowest budget in the league and yet are 18th, if we survive it “won’t be seen as any type of achievement”.
I’m just surprised that DP and The Sheriff haven’t come in to support that view.
Oh hang on……..
We were heading to L2 before Jones came in. We are now 19th out of 24 in the Championship and haven’t been in the bottom 3 all season. So two questions;Sorry to say it but I’m starting to think maybe roll the dice at the end of this season.
We are truly woeful and have been for most of this season. Without real fortune earlier this season - sheff Utd with their two sendings off for example- and the momentum of a newly promoted side we’d have been relegated.
Jones has given us his all, he must be knackered, but maybe it’s time for a fresh start not just with a new playing squad?
I think you’d need to know what budget we’ll be working under next season (again, presuming we stay up).Ok I have absolutely no idea who I’d champion to replace him with. I’m not even sure I would however to replace him doesn’t mean to indicate he’s done a bad job. He’s done a good job.
The question is, for the second season in the championship (assuming we stay up which I believe we will) would we benefit from a different manager?
A new approach and new players are surely needed - is Jones the man for that?
Budget and proper scoutingI agree budget is key.
Will be interesting to see what is spent.
Jones has been solid and deserves to be POTY.Is there a single player in our 2025-26 squad who has improved this season playing under NJ?
My impression is no.
Some seem to be treading water (much the same now as they were in August) TC being an example.
Others appear to have slipped back from early good form.
If nobody from a squad of more than 30 guys is getting any better, is that not a big missing part of Jones' jigsaw puzzle for success?
Jones keeping us up means he has been a resounding success since he came to The Valley.Sorry to say it but I’m starting to think maybe roll the dice at the end of this season.
