Well thank you @Gordon Armstrong a pint for both of you tomorrow! Going to be heading back home straight after breakfast tomorrow morning so aiming to get to the museum for around 12.00Looking forward to meeting up with you mate.
I'm currently working on the Wolves and Forest games but, iirc, your ticket may have come via @Gordon Armstrong.
There's a fair few meeting up at the Museum so we can all just rush the gates like we used to![]()
Think we should know inside the first 10-20 minutes.Hard to say how Spurs will react to their situation, I don't think they've got the backbone to deal with it but who knows.
Either way it looks like we're going to be putting out a strong side and I fancy us to win. Great to have Robin and Nordi back, both huge players for us.
All the hallmarks of 'one of those days' but we've seen this team laugh in the face of such omens many times in the last few years.
I wouldn't like to see us let them have the ball and sit. We don't want them gaining any kind of confidence or foothold in the game.
OaU.We lose 2/0
We have nothing to play for
Spurs have everything to play for, and a new manager
How do we have nothing to play for? European qualification?
Spurs players fighting would be a first time in quite a while!
That team. That bench. The players we have out. A couple of additions in the summer. Thats enough to convince me Europe lets do it.Be a shame is Ballard is out, but these constant rumours flying around twitter and the likes help no-one. It's always "someone's mate told me" and **** like that. I remember last season when Rigg was likely to never play again with a heart complaint, or this season when Sadiki was out for "months" with injury only for both players to play the next day.
Thankfully we have plenty of cover now IF Ballard is out - it wouldn't shock anyone if he missed the remainder of the season given his injury record. Something that might ironically help us keep hold of him.
Anyway, FWIW I'd go:
Roefs
Hume Mukiele Alderete Reinildo
Xhaka Sadiki
Rigg Le Fee Talbi
Brobbey
Subs: Ellborg, O'Nien, Geertruida, Cirkin, Diarra, Jones, Jones, Mayenda, Isidor
Ballard for Hume, and Mukiele to RB if fit
Agree mate. I think sometimes,in the quest for results,we forget that this is first and foremost about entertainment. Our wonderful game, played as it can be,is beyond beautiful, exciting and spectacular. I would like to see us open up a bit, get ELF and Riggy in and around Brobbey and get the slick passing moves we've seen to create chances. Lots of goals for us would finish our season off nicely. The home crowd has been very patient this season and watched us defend against teams …
… this is the perfect chance to entertain the supporters and also allow the players more freedom.
We showed with Brobbey’s derby goal how slick our passing can be when we go for it. The Spurs defence is ideal for being run at with pace and our confidence should be high at the moment.
Ha’way Lads, let’s really go for goals …
… well forgive a 3-4 defeat quicker than a grinding 0-0.
He said Angulo and Ballard are near a return....Spurs match a little too soon....which seems to dispel the rumours about Ballard having a longer term injury. As far as I'm aware.....Ta Bi, Traore and Mundle seem to be our only longer term concerns at the moment.I’d love Europe tbh, let KLD/ghisolfi worry about our squad in the summer, sure they’ll have a Plan already. Happy we’ve got a few players back for the run in, let’s go out and enjoy it. Did he say Angulo and ta bi we’re back for next week or did I mishear?
Europe, top half finish in our first season, finishing above Newcastle, WC places, improved contracts and 40,000 people …
… apart from that what have the Romans ever done for us.
Dropping into the bottom 3 will have a big physiological effect on Spurs. Its either going to fire them up massively which we need to be prepared for, or make them even more nervous and vulnerable.
An early goal for us would be perfect.
Granit won't allow it!How some people can look for the negative of nothing to play for in all that baffles me, its even more confusing when they talk like they have found it and everyone else sees it! Been an outstanding season for a team expected (on the fulltime whistle of play-off final like we were going tk be playing the same team) to be relegated by now! We have a real chance of europe but even without it we don't have a team of players who won't want to win every match and there is no way they would be thinking "nothing to play for lets releax".
