This looks like being a decent watch whether or not you have a cross to bear or not.

A bit like Vera is what I'm expecting ...

... interesting scenery, a plot you can barely follow and some very dodgy accents.

I've done the St Cuthbert's walk from Melrose to Lindisfarne and it was uplifting.

"Newcastle United have agreed a £6million-a-year deal for their first-ever training ground and training-kit sleeve sponsor in a major boost to their revenues.

KNOX Hydration — a South African sports drinks company, not affiliated with Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), the club’s 85 per cent majority owners — has bought the three-year naming rights to Newcastle’s Darsley Park training ground in Benton from July 1."

I enjoyed it and was some great views of Durham which can only do good things for NE tourism. Looking forward to heading up into Northumberland as it looks like Warkworth and Dunstanburgh and other places are included before heading to Holy Island.

We had some overseas friends visiting last summer and took them to Holly Island….ebether you are religious or not there is something special about that place.

The wonder and majesty of places like Whitby Abbey, Lindisfarne and Durham Cathedral is inescapable even for the most adamant of atheists …

… those places were designed to put the fear of God into the population and it worked.

Why is a drinks company that only sells in Africa and maybe Australia sponsoring the Saudis training ground? Seems a bit fishy to me

There will definitely be a link, few years ago PIF signed a half a billion dollar deal with Africa for mineral investment and had a meeting with the South African president to discuss investments.

It will all be related.

This is great news in my opinion.

The man is a fraud, a liar and a racist.

His excuse about the anti-semitism, Nazi merchandising etc is pure ‘sorry sir, the dog ate my homework’, bipolar my arse …

… good decision by the government, let him in and you’re just encouraging other extremists.

Kanye West banned from entering UK to headline Wireless Festival

Agree, he shouldn’t be allowed in.

Dont like the music or the individual and from what I can see he just spouts hate and bile to try and keep himself relevant.

Enjoyed the second one last night as they entered Gods own kingdom. :-)

Great for our tourism industry

I hate it when people blame their bad behaviour on conditions such as bipolar, autism etc. It's a load of bollocks and harms people who are genuinely living with such conditions.
I've once worked with someone with bipolar and you could tell every day was a struggle just to get into work. During depressive phases she would sit silently with tears running down her face but getting on with her work and didn't want anyone making a fuss of her.

I also worked with a lad who was 'self-diagnosed' bipolar and he was a complete pain in the arse. Never shut up about it, demanded everyone else fit their behaviours around him and made numerous formal complaints about colleagues. Thankfully we eventually got a decent HR person in who took it head on and the lad was gone soon after.
