A might be (probably will be) but I thought the ref was ok overall apart from the soft fk for their goal when Bennie won the ball, it was one of those niggly cheap foul games and they were a horrible side falling over as if shot, but don't recall any bad tackles and certainly not a 10 card game..... maybe be needs to keep the cards in the pocket in future...... a 5 or 6/10

You got me confused Trammers - Ref was ok but certainly not a a 10-card game <confused>
Thought he was weak and inconsistent, as may have been this season.

The proverbial game.of two halves.
First was comfortably ours by a significant margin.
Having missed the Portsmouth game, I was struggling to recall a game with so many nearly/ could have / should have chances.
Four nil at HT would not have been an unfair score.
Watford better in the second half and a nervy, QPR finish for the win.
No player had a bad game.
Obviously big shout out to Smyth but Walsh seems to have grown in confidence over the last few games and he had a good game today notwithstanding conceding from an excellent free kick.
Loved the triple backflip celebration!
We deserved the win. A draw would have felt very bitter.
Despite the joy of three wins on the bounce it's hard to not imagine what might have been had we put some of the lower teams to the sword as we would have done had we played like today.
Maybe next season!

The ref was awful. He was so bad he got abuse from both sets of fans: one of those prats auditioning for the premier league who had to be centre of attention. I was worried one of ours would be sent off but in the end he (somehow) didn’t book anyone twice! We were brilliant except for Walsh, who needs to be replaced in the Summer. Hi Ho

Classic young ref promoted too quickly who will probably get a good mark from the assessor but lost control of what wasn’t a dirty game very quickly. 35 fouls given and ten cards is rare.

Would like to see the early disallowed goal. Looked absolutely fine. The Kolli and Smyth yellows were only given because he got whinged at enough. Just a weak man.

What a nice surprise! Coming to the game late as we have a Spring winter storm here in the Maritimes with snow, freezing rain, ice pellets and now straight rain. Very heavy going to clear driveway, walkways, patio and of course 2 vehicles which I paced myself doing and accomplished in two 2 hour shifts before and after a 40 lap x 25m swim. I see we couldn't resist giving ourselves a little "squeaky bum" time at the end. Not bad for a 73 yr old this year.

The ref started excellently.

He blew for an alleged foul by Smyth...the Watford player number 66 went down clutching his head.
He blew up... sent the poleaxed Watford player of the field to" recover" for about 2 minutes...and gave us the ball.

But yes he deteriorated after that. Gave us a free kick for a shove in the back on Smyth but a minute later gave EXACTLY the same foul in the penalty area...the opposite way.
Smyth gets sandwiched by 3 Watford players ..and he is the fouled!!!!

Wonder how close we were to getting Patterson, class goalie different league to Walsh. Millwalls gain and all that

Thought Walsh was fine today and has been for the last few games. Mbengue was at wrestlemania rather than football and his touch was disastrous a lot of the time. But he certainly doesn’t hide. Didn’t think any of the subs helped, assuming Kolli was hurt and Smyth was certainly knackered and not moving well. Bennie in particular didn’t seem to offer much other than running and once again lost his bottle in front of goal.

But overall a really good performance, I enjoyed it. Watford had two players wearing hats, never a good look.

Six more games to get over sixty points and back to the Warburton days, which didn’t feel so great at the time, but now…..

So the match
Great first half. Interaction between Vale Smyth and Kone was amazing.

Kone worked his socks off...the interplay between Kone and Kolli was magnificent.

Vale is a great player if he can stay fit...so creative. How many times has he hit the post!

Smyth was outstanding. Varane his best game since coming back. Morgan too...who is still learning ( boy did he get a bollocking from Dunne). Morgan playing the most difficult position for a young player is definitely developing.

NDavies...a silent and steady weapon. Completely under the radar

To me the only player who was below par was Mbengue. Mind you it maynot have been Mbengue...Mbengue doesn't have blonde hair.

The only way Watford were going to score was through a Louza ( looser! Unfortunately) free kick.

Look at his show reel. He won't be at Watford next year...!!!

Twitchy end but a very good performance. This could be a team...look at our players

Dunne, Edwards, Kone, Burrell, Vane, Madsen.

Add to that the less reliable but possibly game changing..Poku, Saito , Smyth, Kolli, Varane

Walsh is developing..ND is an asset I hope we can get. Clarke Salter, Chair...

The future is bright. I might need shades
