Any chance of an answer?

He denies being racist, the term he called evra has different conitations in south america and apparently is used by his man u team mates with out offence.
However evra took offence because suarez used the term and it seams the fa can read peoples minds and know exactly what he meant.

Interpretation seems to be the key.

To be fair to sky he's maintained a consistent stance throughout. Whether his trust in the FA is misguided we'll have to see.

<ok>

Exactly, I'm sticking by my word. And people give me ****?? **** that.

Like I said if the appeal goes well I'll happily admit I've been a dick. But we weren't at the court hearing and the way some are talking it sounds like they were.

Jatt answer the question please without making sly digs.

You say I disrespected Kenny, how?

You just blatantly disrespected Shanks, talk about hypocritical.

Your questioning his integrity. Your questioning a player who he signed with faith.

Worst of all, your telling a Liverpool player, who has contributed hugely throughout the year, to leave the club without hearing the full story.

What I said about Shankly has been twisted, like I said before, whatever I say will be over-analyzed, and in this case, twisted, I don't care though, I know what I meant.

Well it looks like you did.

I am a Scotland fan, Kenny is one of my heroes. Doesn't mean he's right 100% of the time <ok>.

No, I didn't.

What I said to SKY was mainly due to him disrespecting a Liverpool legend, despite the lack of evidence put to US/HIM.

And club statement's are 100% truth?? Naive.

Kenny will stick up for his player, obviously. With a possible appeal coming up he's hardly gonna blow him out the water is he?

Integrity has got **** all to do with it. If the appeal fails then we'll see his real integrity. And please explain why you mentioned what he'd done for the club and city, with regards to this case. Complete ****ing nonsense.

SKY it is noble of you to take such a stance against racism but you must also undertand that life isnt so clear cut. Comments made on a football pitch, in the heat of the moment, do not define a man's life. Nothing in his history would suggest that he is a racist, quite the contary infact. Poorly judged words that in some cases could cause great offence (I find it hard to beleive that a man of Evra's age, in his position in life would be deeply hurt by the comments we are led to believe were said) but as discussed at lengh in his own country not always used to offend (no excuse to use them, but again does not make that man automatically a racist)

It's massively refreshing that you've taken this stance and not assumed like all your fellow fans that he is innocent 'because Kenny says so'.

A racist is a racist, whatever shirt he wears and considering the amount of black players Liverpool have had through the years that should dawn on everyone.

Interesting to see how long & how much of the Hearing minutes are released. Hopefully all so we CAN talk as if we were at the hearing!

Suarez has basically said he's gutted by the decision on twitter by the way so seems to maintaining his stance.

On the assumption that 8 match ban is upheld whenever: will this be the making of Andy Caroll?

I'm questioning a player he signed with faith. WTF are you on about? Come on Jatt that's nonsense.

And yes if he loses the appeal then I hope he leaves the club.

What you said about Shanks hasn't been twisted, it's in clear English. You're just covering your back.

Funny how people refer to grammar whhen they are put on the spot....

The word Yid ( /ˈjiːd/; Yiddish: ייִד)[clarification needed] is a slang Jewish ethnonym. Its usage may be controversial in modern English language. It is not usually considered offensive when pronounced /ˈjiːd/ (rhyming with deed), the way Yiddish speakers say it, though some may deem the word offensive nonetheless. When pronounced /ˈjɪd/ (rhyming with did), it can generally be perceived as a pejorative—and is used as a derogatory epithet by antisemites.[1]

How can you comment on a race arguement when you so trivially use an offensive term in your avatar?

If you want to refer to me as stupid, you had better be getting your brain out mate and showing it, Cos id bet my house my intallect far exceeds the fluffy ball of Cabbage watering muppet material that resides in your noggin........It all seemed pretty clear to me, you just didnt like what i was saying...

Had enough time to think of a suitable response yet??????? Or would you like to write another delaying comment so you can think of a good escape route

Do you know what context is? "Yid" in my name is clearly a reference to the team I support, Tottenham, or the "Yid Army" put into a pun about a famous punk rocker. If I talked about "a ***got of sticks" would you also take that out of context and call me homophobic?

I wasn't having a pop at your grammar, unlike some, I have no problem with a more relaxed style of writing and spelling but when you're making an articulate point it's best to write it appropriately, because I couldn't make head nor tail of that.

Interesting seeing football fans debating a moral/ethical issue when they're often the least capable of sustaining a coherent or valid argument.

SKY - You've made your point, and it's worthwhile to view Suarez objectively here, as we should any player, BUT - let's wait for the appeal. It's as clear as mud right now and will be messy.

Personally it's a mix of:
1) The FA need to punish either Suarez, Terry or both to save face
2) The FA really need a popular decision right now among the majority of fans
3) Suarez and Evra were undoubtedly abusive toward one another
4) Suarez should not have used the word he used - it was stupid whatever context it was meant in

BUT

1) Suarez's understanding of the word
2) Evra's previous history
3) Suarez's own mixed race and captaincy of multicultural Ajax
4) Liverpool team-mates, including coloured players, have only supported Suarez
5) Lack of evidence and harshness of pan
6) Ref's report - Evra was also called 'negrito' by De Gea, and asked the referee if he was being booked 'because I'm black'
7) Lack of precedent
8) Vagueness of reporting, evidence and reasoning - possibly deliberate

As an outcome:
- Surely the FA must now ban Terry.
- Players must now wear bibs, participate in circle time and employ permanent members of staff to pick up Evra's toys and return them to his pram.

No, I didn't.

What I said to SKY was mainly due to him disrespecting a Liverpool legend, despite the lack of evidence put to US/HIM.

A lot of people, including myself are highly offended from racism. Like SKY has said, it's hard to believe Suarez has been given an 8 game ban without the sufficient evidence, I can vouch for SKY that he has not disrespected anyone but Suarez - and rightly so if he is a racist.

This is getting far too political and is even causing rifts between fans.....Im done with this bullshit and just hope that the whole situation causes a massive response from all the Liverpool players on the pitch.....

Hopefully Suarez will be back for the Man Utd game and can make Evra look stupid again, but this time completely quietly

A racist is a racist, whatever shirt he wears and considering the amount of black players Liverpool have had through the years that should dawn on everyone.

No one here is assuming he is innocent based on "What Kenny says so", we're basing our opinions around the fact that Evra has played this racism game before and the fact that Evra admitted Suarez was not a racist in his statement.

Lil Jatt and Sky, you obviously hvae different intrepretations of what has been made available to the public, and your views have been expressed more than clearly. To me it seems that both of you have taken each others comments out of proportion and have misunderstood a couple things as well. Its starting to get quiteannoying so if you want to argue about that can you do it somewhere else (e.g. private messages) please, as it has stopped being about Suarez.

Seriously, when did this happen? There would be NO case if it had. Utter nonsense.

And if you think that being called a '****ing immigrant' by a Chelsea groundsman is NOT racism then, again, you need to take a look at yourself.

Quick couple of questions, one about a hypothetical situation, another about a real one:

The government decide that the Muslim faith has no place in England, and urge those who practice it to cease doing so or be deported. Would this be considered racist?

The FA have decided that a word widely used in South America with no racial intent is racist in this country. They do not tolerate cultural differences. Are they racist for this?

On a side note, the 'racism might be accepted elsewhere, but not in England' argument (made by many journalists) is absolute garbage. You cannot judge other countries by one's own standards (ethnocentrism). What is and is not considered racist here IS NOT a template for the beliefs of another nation.

I understand all that <ok>
I know it's all been blown out of proportion, that was always going to happen.

My main point is the FA don't hand out 8 game bans and 40 grand fines without sufficient evidence.

And if you think that being called a '****ing immigrant' by a Chelsea groundsman is NOT racism then, again, you need to take a look at yourself.

It's been widely reported that both Evra and the FA have made clear that they do not think he is racist. He is charged of making a racial remark, not of being racist. There is a difference.

<ok>

Sorry about that. It just ****s me off when people have a dig at me about my views and then take the moral high-ground making out they know everything about a topic we all know very little about.
