Black magic, shout out to my ex , possibly wings? …. I have a daughter these questions are like my specialist subject <laugh>

May have posted this before but my daughter told me she was going to Nice for the weekend, I said it's a long way to go and expensive just for the weekend.
Turns out there's more than one weekend.

Most of what’s written in the UK press about the current situation in Dubai is bollocks. My daughter has lived there for ten years, now married to a Brit and we’ve two lovely granddaughters both born there. First few days of the war was quite frightening because of the numerous explosions in the sky from intercepted missiles but last few days been very quiet. They’re going on holiday to Vietnam tomorrow, been booked for months, and flights have been going to schedule the past week. It was her birthday yesterday and she went out last night with a group of girlfriends into one of the many nightlife areas, she said the whole area was packed. There’s more danger on the roads there, they all drive like idiots.
We go out there three times a year, most of the people we come across are just hard working families from lots of different countries (but mostly from UK) and I’d be happy to go there tomorrow.
Great post and accurate. My daughter has been in Dubai for about 8 months now. We talk every day at the moment ( mostly to assure me). Very hard worker since she was at uni when she also had 2 jobs. Wish I had her drive and ambition to work her way up and do well. Yes they don’t pay tax and it’s one of the attractions. As for not contributing to the Uk tax coffers that goes the same for anyone who does not work in the UK.

I think the non-payment of tax digs are aimed at people who conduct taxable business in UK but take advantage of tax rules to avoid paying that tax, by moving to Dubai for example. I don't think anyone reasonable would moan about somebody just working in Dubai and getting paid in Dubai.

After reading that apart from being a narcissist callous child she is also Britain’s most stupid person. The second most stupid is the judge who gave her only a year and a 3 year driving ban.
Not sure that he or she would be allowed to sentence an 18 year old, with no previous, for longer. The charge isn't causing death by dangerous driving, but by careless driving - much lesser sentence, plus the age of the girl.

Her behaviour afterwards was callous if as reported. Awful for the parents of the victims. There's no easy answer in the case of an accident like this

But the racing at 100mph is not dangerous? Obviously this was not part of the charge. I think people would have hated me as a judge
