What happened with Mccarthy (sp) and Matt Jacob?
Matty Jacob has a medical ligament injury which will keep him out a few more weeks. McCarthy is fit and has been on the bench most games but just not selected/needed as the centre backs have generally been fit.

How's that work? I thought we had spaces, or have we registered Belloumi and Matazo after all?
We have spaces and those two will probably take them soon. The club wanted to de-register Hirakawa to create space to register Akintola without affecting the two injured lads, but that has been rejected. It always seemed a bit cheeky to me.

Don't get me wrong, i'm very pleased with how he's come on, but if someone offered £5m, I'd probably take their lower arm clean off. He's hustle and bustle, but he doesn't get on the ball and boss games in the way that players at other teams do.
His passing range has improved enormously so I think he is becoming that player.

The efl need a final certification that yu will not play again this season. If he goes under the knife that will definitely happen but also if he is out for the remainder of the season that too will be enough to allow us to de-register him. This is what I’ve read so don’t shoot the messenger….

Let’s be honest, we’re going to be a Championship team next season and no matter who we sign in the summer, Slater has shown his value to the club. I never used to rate him and perhaps I’m overrating him now but he’s been the most consistent player for us this season and is my POTY. If we sell him, I think it would be a big mistake.

Slater just gets on with his job, he's one of those players you really don't realise how important they are until they aren't there

Think people could look too much into this. We can’t be offering big wages till the likes of Lundstrum have gone, or we could be foul of financial fair play. Obviously becomes a lot easier when the season is over. At least that’s what I hope.

Last season we signed Mehlem, Zambrano, Puerta, Palmer, Alzate, Crooks and Matazo.

Regan still played 46 games.

This season we signed Lundstram, Amir, Gyabi, Dowell and Collyer.

Regan has played 38 games.

Yep its what I was thinking too. Activate his 1 year option to buy us a bit of time and negotiate with him in the summer like we will be with other players. If we cant agree terms and someone wants to pay a decent fee for him, im sure we can do better in the summer now there's no transfer embargo. Not saying he's not been good for us this season, he has.. but there's not a lot to pick from in midfield either.
