Shows a lack of ambition. I hear that you're also after Jan Vertonghen though, now that would be a good move.
I will cry if we go for Liam Ridgewell. Not just because we've been linked with Douglas and Vertonghen, but because i'd rather have Perch as 4th choice CB...

If you're going to buy a player from the lower tiers, it'd better be a young player who's going to improve and has his best years ahead of him. I don't expect that from Ridgewell and don't see the club spending money on him when they could buy an affordable player abroad that they could eventually sell on for profit.
