The Daily Mail says Newcastle want to sign Crystal Palace’s £10m-rated teenage sensation Zaha in the January transfer window.

Zaha’s electrifying performance in Palace’s Carling Cup victory at Manchester United last month has convinced Toon manager Alan Pardew that he is good enough for the Barclays Premier League.

Dougie Freedman’s side have told the striker to wait for a top-four Premier League team to come in for him before he even considers quitting Selhurst Park.

But Pardew has been promised that there is money to spend at Newcastle in the transfer window and Zaha has become their principal target.

10m on one unproven young un albeit a very good young un i can't see us doing that

Telling him to go to a top-4 side is the worst possible advise. He wouldn't kick a ball for three years other than the odd CC match. If he came to us he'd get game time.

I'd love him here and have posted articles in the past on him, but maybe £6m with add ons.

agree
but the way we do things now is we'll look at 10m and think we can get 2 guys from france for that and off to france we go

Chelsea are ready to test Everton's resolve to hang on to £20m-rated Jack Rodwell with a January bid.
Good

Manchester United have targeted Ajax teenager Christian Eriksen as the man to solve their midfield problems.
Brilliant

North East rivals Newcastle United and Sunderland are set to clash over the transfer of 23-year-old Celtic striker Gary Hooper.

Meh. not fussed

Maiga deal is dead, we know about Giroud but anything could happen, we're prioritising a centre back now anyway.

Wanna take Ignasi Miquel on loan from us? He looks like a real quality prospect, but he's going to need more playing time than we give him. He's far better than Perch.

Well that goes without saying. Anyone who can cover centre back is welcome at the moment, we're still very light.

Whilst I'd be glad for any decent cover for CB, I'd rather buy our own youngsters than give playing time to our rivals'

We get Gibbs back in a week, Sagna shouldn't take too long, jenkinson in a month or two, and Santos in a couple of months. Wenger has already hinted that we're buying in january too.

Jenkinson must be one of the worst young players at a big club that I've ever seen. Hopefully for you he gets better.

I really wasn't impressed with him on Sunday. Then again you can't really judge someone one one performance, especially if it's away to Man City.
