We have a similar (different scale) issue with a generation of fans who have experienced our rise from League One in 2008 through winning the Championship, Premier League, FA Cup and challenging for CL places ... they think that is the norm rather than the reality of us being a yo-yo club from the 60s onwards with some god awful dross interspersed by the odd bright period under managers like O'Farrell, Bloomfield, Jock Wallace, Gordon Milne, Martin O'Neil prior to Pearson, Ranieri and Rodgers ... bunch of entitled twats ...
It's them rather than old ****ers like me who are now bleating and wailing about our current woes...
I'm old enough to remember watching Arsenal in the early and mid 80's (when I first started going) okay we weren't Division 2 dross, but we weren't exactly pulling up any trees either. Stood and watched some absolute dirge in those days.
Then George Graham came along and we started winning things, then came Wenger and we became a power house. A lot of fans have only known Arsenal like this, as a team who win things, but all teams, Utd, Liverpool included go through periods of transition, rebuild and refresh.
Where Arteta has got us now, from those post Wenger days is remarkable. But we unfortunately have more than a few fans who are just entitled and think that if we're not winning a trophy every season then everything has turned to ****.
