Mixed feelings on this. One positive is that even if he's a bit crap I can at least see the logic in loaning a big, physical, hard-working striker.
Looking at his record and some of the other comments, my biggest concern would be if we end up with another Saganowski/Gabbiadini type situation where he comes in and scores 8 goals in his first 10 games, which means we agree to sign him permanently, and he then scores 2 in his next 40.

I know nothing about this guy but he seems to have played for teams that are better than Saints. All these teams seemed to have thought he was worth a punt. It’s not like we are signing someone from a non league team. We shall see if he is a Pelle or a Pulis.

Yep, it is possible that he offers something as valuable as goals with his team play like Shane Long did.
So about half an hour left and he’s not announced yet, and Armstrong and Archer are both still here. Obviously deals can be done after the deadline so wonder how it will end up. Be funny if we ended up with all 3
I really think people need to keep an open mind about this. If it works great, we may push for the play offs. If it doesn't, no damage done. Armstrong was clearly going at the end of the season if he didn't leave today.

Just an observation, but normally a new signing smiles when being photographed holding his new club shirt. His mug shot looks more like a passport photograph, than an object of joy and happiness.

The club examined what PL loans were available across the window, and concluded there was nobody that was any good that was being offered out. As far as I can tell, nobody else has brought anyone in from the PL on loan that would make me in any way jealous, which goes to support that.
