Off to see The House of Love in Islington this week, then Ider the following night in Stoke Newington.
Saw the House of Love in 1989. They just played the second album in order with no chat, very faithfully to the record, until nearly the end when the aptly named Terry Bickers threw his guitar at Guy Chadwick (though missed iirc) and walked off. The rest followed and that was it. So I hope you have a better experience...

Seen them a couple of times recently. Bickers isn’t with them anymore (again!) but there is a father and son guitar and bass duo in the line up who are excellent, with the songs faithfully recreated.

Interesting that Wrecking Ball are widening their promotion (and running I assume) of gigs outside of the Wrecking Ball venue.

They've been doing it for a while and I think can only be a good thing really (as opposed to events being run in the City by some faceless London Company)

I've seen him several times and he's really good (and his recent interview on Radio 2 was in depth about Hull and the music scene)

Best with the Akrylykz though <party>

Got tickets for Hollywood vampires at Scarboro in August along with Sex Pistols and Richard Ashcroft, the gigs they are putting on this year is quite incredible, in only Hull could actually do the same.
