Btw guys the stuff on here is nothing compared to what's on X... I've just had a look and the entire Newcastles account is taking nothing, but abuse...

There's actually nothing but Howe outs.

The glory days have returned.. Not nice after everything the owners have done.

Trolls shout loudest. Social media is always morons, X being the worst.

Funnily enough the sold out stadium will not be chanting Howe out on Wednesday.

As I said elsewhere I’m hugely disappointed we haven’t seen something different this window. I’d bet my house on Guehi being the only target we considered which is why City moved for him. Another we would never get, but the lack of any kind of rumour for centre backs when we’ve only got two available is alarming.
To be fair, this month in defence, we have been linked with:
- Thiago Gabriel, 21 (CB - Lecce - Portugal U21 int.)
- Giorgio Scalvini, 22 (CB - Atalanta - Italy U21 int.)
- Charlie Creswell, 23 (CB - Toulouse - England U21 int.)
- Dayan Methalie, 19 (LB/CB - Toulouse - France U21 int.)
- Jacobo Ramon, 21 (CB - Como - Spain U21 int.)
- Oscar Mingueza, 26 (RB - Celta Vigo)
- Francisco Moura, 26 (RB - Porto)
- Joaquin Seys, 20 (LB/RB - Club Brugge - Belgium U21 int.)

So definitely rumours, whether we go for / get any of them is another matter

Similar situation with Pardew..it builds and results will decide not me you or anyone else.

BTW I dont want Howe sacked, I want us to look like we actually know what we are trying to do on the pitch, that frustrates me more then the result, even the wins in the last 3 games have papered over the performances. Show us an identity on the pitch we seem to be caught in between a style and looking so disjointed. Some of our players seem to lack the football intelligence/brains to work out how to open up teams and I want to see Howe learning from his mistakes and work out a different plan.

The reality is going to creep in one way or the other over the next month. The **** will hit the fan eventually.

Newcastle have struggled along, but imo before we know it we'll probably be out both cups, 9 points off top 4 and out the CL on a short space of time.

We're essentially standing on a sink hole pointing at the stars.

Totally agree - look at the remaining away games we have left and it's scary. We are in 4 competitions and trying to go deep in all but we dont have the squad or the manager that rotates enough. We also arent playing well at all, too scared of injuries for high press and not enough technical footballers to play possession based football. We are 8th, we will probably end up there at the end of the season. What the owners do will be interesting? Stick or Twist? Manager market in the summer is going to be wild!

The season is going to fall off a cliff more likely than the side is suddenly going to become one of the best sides in the league.

I've not completely given up all hope this season, but I think we're looking at corrective surgery in the summer transfer window.

The next season Howe will probably have 1 game a week again and he'll be expected to get the club back in Europe.

If we fail to sign a creative player this window then several people at the club should lose their job.

Andy Howe needs binning asap.

It's just a big shame we spent all that on Elanga basically we are a good side but we need more threat. If we had a natural RW that was a real headache for the oppo and technically v.good as we are short of players who are really comfortable with the ball at their feed, it would make a massive difference.

Wissa is a player we can probably add to that.. No 9? I'm struggling to think of a worse Newcastle no 9.....let's just remember we had Cisse and Ba under Mike Ashley's Newcastle...

I appreciate Wissa could bang in a few over the next few years, but until he does it is what it is.

Sacking Howe is pointless, who the hell do we replace him with?

There isn't anyone available who is a clear and obvious upgrade, I am more than open for people to name me a few on here.

Yep they'd probably employ Staveleys mate Southgate... Imagine that

Wissa has missed most of the season with injury. Doesn’t he get the benefit of time to get up to speed? Especially seeing as he doesn’t get a lot of game time?
