Despite our appalling** form (5 wins, 2 draws and 1 defeat in the last eight) I think the momentum from yesterday will be overwhelming. We are becoming a little bit unstoppable.

**superb
Yesterday's performance was excellent and breaks a run of scraping wins despite not playing particularly well (yes I bit). Carry on like that with a few new additions and joff on the bench and Preston is poised to be massive for us.

Southampton's pitch looked to be in good nick. Although they dominated possession, we played some neat football.
Preston's pitch looked very poor yesterday. I fear our performance will revert back to something more like our last home game.

Same thoughts here.We play decent football on a decent pitch and ours is beginning to revert to type.

Earlier post saying our pitch is poor is probably giving it too much credit

Played quite a few matches In monsoon conditions has hammered it.

I blame global wetting

We've played a lot of games recently where we've been most people's underdog, often away from home and we've got results in those circumstances. When we've been favourites like against Stoke or Sheffield Wednesday we've struggled a bit more. I do think there's something in that. Very different types of games when the expectations are different. Hopefully being away at Preston suits us in a similar way to the other recent away games.

More or less sums us up from a betting perspective odds wise as well.

I've/we've had some outstanding prices for games that we've won 'against the odds' and fingers burned when we are at our lowest odds.

Remember the night match at Boston when we won , went from work bloody long way from Sth Yks- Peter Taylor said that was the game ‘he’ knew promotion was on .
When will we know ?
