Very disappointed not to have seen the Bentancur in a hospital bed with the thumbs up picture, Tottenham social media team are slacking

Some of this seems like it's unfortunate, but a lot of it is self-inflicted.
Postecoglou's system and tactics had a serious body count and so has Frank's.
Richarlison, Bentancur and Kudus all had suitable backups, for example.
They were still badly overplayed, resulting in worse performances and then injury.

Confirmed that Ben Davies broke his ankle on Saturday so that may be the last see of him in a Spurs shirt. Whilst he is not the greatest player he was better than he is often given credit for by certain elements of our fan base. An excellent pro who has never let us down I wish him a speedy recovery.

Great professional who has always been popular with teammates and managers. Reliable when needed and probably very important in the dressing room.

BBC article on which team has had the most injuries this season:

We're 2nd, which seems unlikely, but I can't be bothered to check their numbers.
It also doesn't include players missing games due to illness, for some reason.
Maddison, Kulusevski, Solanke and Dragusin would make up most of our total on their own.

Some correlation there it seems with CL participation.
Citeh remarkably not affected so much (even with their meagre squad) .

Swedish sources claim Bergvall is going to be out for between two and three months with his leg injury

Third season running with a full blown injury crisis, and not just the usual minor knocks and sprains, but multiple players suffering moderate to serious injuries.

There are three options:
1) Luck
2) We sign injury prone players
3) Our physio team is pants

I think that squad balance and inadequate rotation have contributed.
Some players have been run into the ground, while others have rotted on the bench.

I'd add two more options: increased number of international games, and complete absence of any form of protection from referees

For the latter example teams know they can clatter our players with impunity, which has been the case for **** knows how long, but with the quality of PL refs cratering in recent years it's been getting especially blatant since the 2023-4 season considering that even in Ange's opening ten game run there were at least two matches (namely Palace and Fulham) where our players were getting kicked ****less all game long yet the ref shrugged it off and let them continue to be kicked ****less

Rotation can alleviate the former to a degree, but the latter won't be sorted until we have to accept the only way to actually get a degree of protection is to devote sections of press conferences to calling out the refs being **** - that's actual, demonstrable examples of the refs being ****e, not demonstrable bollocks like you get out of Arteta, Ferguson, Allarshyte et al
